If you have an open mind I recommend watching Zeitgeist the movie. There is also a sequel Zeitgeist Addendum. You can watch them for free on the zeitgeist website.

I have noticed when I am watching sports in HD the picture looks pixilated around anything moving quickly across the screen. I think it has to do with broadcast and not the TV. I don’t notice it...

Yeah you have to pay attention to the build dates. Don't buy one with a build date before OCT2008. After that they fixed the issue and there haven't been any problems.
