Well on my vehicle, there is a metal shaft underneath the plastic piece. You can literally just pull the plastic piece off. But now I see what you saying... I guess they made the white plastic piece...

Is there any way to remove the white plastic piece? That is what I did with the g35's. Someone told me that the white plastic piece wont come off? Is this true?
