I had to break away the really thin plastic that surrounds the base. This exposed where the relay & base joined and I just pried the connection between the two gently to start it & then it was easy...

The foam fix worked for me & it was really easy. Just remove the door panel & speaker enclosure, then I snuck my arm in (tight fit but very doable) & put a 4" piece of that round foam pipe...

do you have a link to the A/M unit (driver side) I can't even find a new OEM, only used & no A/M ones. I believe the A/M units are built in a way that is supposed to eliminate this problem?

Thanks, I did download the manual from your link & read a lot of stuff I didn't know about my Z. It looked to me like it connects to the longer hose on the drivers side underneath the air box...

4" heater hose

I recently got the heater hose kit from Z1 which is 4 hoses total. The three larger ones are pretty easy to find on the back of the engine/firewall.

Can anyone tell me where the little 4" hose...

That's what I came to this thread looking for...the location of the 4" heater hose. ...
