Question about Steering Lock issue - locking on or off?

I have my 2010 Z in my garage for winter. Keeping a trickle charger on it, and crank it up every few days, same as I do every winter.

Today, ignition was stuck in LOCK. Both key fobs work fine...

I can understand why a tiny car with huge tires like the Z wouldn't include a spare. I'm not sure you can even fit 1 rear tire in the trunk.

I thought most standard passenger cars still had spare...

I completely agree with you. I got my letter from Nissan telling me how lucky I was that they were having a SALE on the map upgrade and I could get it for only $179*. The * points to a note that...

World's greatest dragrace

I apologize if this is the wrong forum to post this on, it's GT-R content and not 370Z. But it is a big deal for Nissan.

Personally, I was shocked at the finish.

My last "cool" car was a VW Corrado I owned back in 1992. VW followers are a pretty chatty bunch normally, but I really got a lot of waves/hello's when I had the Corrado. But that was almost 20...

Looking for mechanic in Milwaukee area - oil cooler install

After looking at the install instructions on-line, I think I'd rather pay someone to pull the front of the car apart and install an oil cooler.

Anyone have recommendations for an installer in...

In my opinion, the NAV system is not worth the price. Nissan lists 9 key features of the package. Let's look at them.

USB Connectivity - great feature, pretty much standard on every after-market...

Oil Cooler - any issues with covering radiator?

I'm leaning heavily toward an oil cooler install. I don't race my car, but I do have fun with it, and I can't see anything but a benefit from keeping the oil temps down AND more consistent.

The...

Agreed.

It does take some time to get used to shifting with the paddles, since it is an AT, your shift-timing is completely different than a manual. But once you get the hang of it, is really is...

Personally, I waited till they finally had a financing deal before I got my Z. It's a great car, but I just can't bring myself to EVER pay sticker price for any car. That means I'll never be first...

There should be a HUGE difference in price between the leftover 2010's and a new 2011. Very little, if anything different equipment-wise, but the depreciation on the 2010 is lower the minute you...

Great post, ragtop_rob. I was about to mention that it's sort of a throw-back to the classic Z's. In fact, I think it would be really cool to have an orange LCD display so you could switch between...

If I had kids at home, there's no way I'd be able to afford a 2-seater, much less be able to justify one.

Headroom

Headroom was a major concern for me also. I'm 6' even, and without dropping the driver seat all the way down/back, I still have a good 4" or so before I hit the roof.

You get one, you can buy another.

The Roadster comes with a carpet that covers the tools/flat-tire kit. Nissan also sells a carpeted trunk-mat with the "Z" logo that is much more substantial and fits better. I think it's a $105...
