Again, I doubt it. How many large companies would poach talent by being the only ones offering health insurance? I'd go to work there for sure.

I think that's a sure thing. That's why the penalties for the companies are very low today. They want them to stop providing insurance to their workers & instead pay a much lower fee for the penalty. I'm as certain of that as the sun rising tomorrow!!! Sorry!!

Who is "They"?

The post office only delivers mail, & loses billions, imagine what will be with something as complicated as this ran by the federal government.

Good luck!

The post office is losing billions because they were forced to pre-fund all of their pension obligations, and are hamstrung by Congress with regards to cutting costs. The government's role in the ACA is basically setting up the exchange, and having the IRS assess penalties. The individual companies are still the ones running the plans.

Do you think that if everyone pays the penalty as opposed to maintaining coverage that the balance sheet for the country will improve or worsen?

That's all they have to do :icon17:^^^^^^

They can't tie their shoes without screwing up, or fraud/theft/abuse of power. Like get real my friend.....

The exchange is already up and running, and many states administer their own exchange. Adding one more penalty to the list of things the IRS can hit you for is hardly the end of the world. Take off the tinfoil hat.

did you guys know that large corporations have a year bye (sp.)?
the mandate does not apply to large corporations until this date NEXT YEAR.
Not sure what that means since they are the ones providing insurance to thier employees why would they need a bye?

I think Ohio is running theirs...I tried to log on a couple days ago and it was bogged down. I just wondered about the actual costs. never did find a page with a down and dirty cost structure.

Sounds like a year to get rid of the employer paid insurance.

Oh, also don't look for the people running our country to be going on line to join, or pay the deductions/fines.

I don't really get your question. The balance sheet for the country????

We can't get a balanced budget to save our life, as they say. We freaken spent 17 trillion more than we have, most of it in the last 5 years, second place goes to the other guy before this cl-wn.

andre12031948 10-03-2013 03:37 PM

That's the next thing on the agenda-OUR BUDGET

After this our budget problem is coming to a news station near you. Why can't we print money & spend more than we make?, yet the government can?

If we did what "they":) do, we would get arrested.....

I'm trying to sign out! Watch a little porn, take a walk......:icon14:

Since you think the end game is to have everyone give up their coverage and just pay the penalty, do you think that would improve or worsen the financial position of this country? Hint- It won't make things better.

And asking "why can the government print more money and deficit spend, but individuals cannot" shows that you really don't have a grasp on how things actually work. I'm done explaining things to you. You ask a question, and when it's answered, you either disregard it, add in a conspiracy theory or some chicken little bs or move the goalposts. It is impossible to debate the uninformed.

I'm sorry to tell you this since you've been nice to me.

That is a ridiculous question so I didn't answer or even consider that that's what you meant.

Sorry again but I think everyone else knows that I was just making a point, NOT really asking a question. Got it?
