I made a mistake and set the bracketing to +3 0 -3 stops. The software suggests +2 0 -2 bracketing. But nevertheless, I like it. I'll upload a color shot of the same scene when I get one ready. It's a nice effect. It lightens up the shadows and really makes the highlights pop.

What software are you using?

Here's the enhanced color version. I like a more natural look. This is a little overdone. (oops, slightly diff. version - same day same setup - just diff. view)

That pic has a nice feel to it.
I actually just started playing with HDR myself this weekend. The two pics above were run through the HDR Pro plug-in in Photoshop Cs5. I only went +/-1 stop.

Is that plug-in built-in or is it third-party?

I was thinking the shot of what looks like the Capitol building might have been enhanced a bit. It's a pretty shot.

Have you given eBay a try? I'd take a look at what they are going for on there. I just sold a couple of lenses and came out pretty good.
I actually sold a 70-200 F4 for more than you could have bought a new one for at the same time. Buyer beware in that case. Couldn't actually believe the buyer went as high as they did.

It's my last resort since they double dip when it comes to fees. :tiphat:

Thanks!
Yeah, there's no way I could have exposed one compromise of a shot that would show the detail of the Capitol building, the bridge and the reflections of the water without one part or another being too dark or light.

Just out of curiosity, why are you selling/upgrading gear?

I was counting on unemployment to cover the gap while I was looking for a new job. They haven't paid a dime so I need to cover a gap somehow. It sucks.

Thats a damn shame, cuz we all know how much you were loving photography.

It's only a temporary setback. I plan on getting a better set up once things get back to normal.
