That is my problem. I want a fish eye but I wouldn't use it enough to justify it. The only real reason I would want one is for rolling shots.

Only paid $200 or so for the Rokinon, which is cheap compared to what's on the market.

Well, the problem is I shoot full frame, most of those are for crop sensors I believe... Though I could be wrong.

I remember seeing people with Full Frame camera's were able to use the lens without any issues. I think some might have cut off the attached lens hood to clear up any problems. I could be wrong though since there are a few different versions of this lens that might work for FF.

so far my photography is about 40% cars, 25% conventions, 25% food, and 10% miscellaneous landscapes. i'm not sure how much is going to change (i think cars will go down, food might go up as i'm a huge foodie lol).

during AX, spec jay was going nuts over his 50mm prime lens, i'm debating to try that out and see how it goes. one thing i do know, i'm awful at low light shots right now, both of my lenses are rated around f/5.6

Nitex - are those edited shots? they look pretty damn good.

...is everybody here on a canon??

Thanks Phelan! I did some minor tweaking in photoshop lightroom 3 (trial version - will be buying at the end).

Nick, very clear shots! Cool dog :icon17:

Took a few more shots around the back yard

I tried to this this little guy to slow down for a second but.. this was as in focus as i could get him with out a tripod. Had to use manual with the 50mm.

Nice shots!

The first shot of the spider is going to be difficult to get with that lens due to the focusing distance needed.

I think some people use adapters to mount the 50mm backwards to use as a macro lens.

But if you're into macro I'd go for a legit Macro lens

Nice thanks, ill look into macro lenses.. seems to be fun for me. Can i record HD video with one? That could be really cool.

Nick911sc 08-01-2011 01:33 PM

Yea, the video feature on the camera will work with any lens but manual focusing needs to be done as well.

I posted these in another thread, I hadn't looked at them in awhile and it made me realize how much I liked them so I figured I'd put them here too.
