Platinum VIP Air Cup Kit

4 Attachment(s)
After much debate I've decided I want to sell my current air cup suspension setup. The kit was built for a 370z and includes a set of Stance Super Sport coilovers and a Platinum VIP 4 cup air suspension and management kit. The cup kit includes 4 cups, a tank, an air compressor, a relay and two paddle switches (one switch controls two cups). The sale will not include air line and electrical wiring. The cups include the required fittings for 1/4' air line. The cups were installed on the coilovers by Platinum VIP which includes a warranty on o-ring replacement and cost me an additional $500. The kit has about 13,000 miles on it and is in excellent working condition.

For those who aren't familiar with air cup kits, the differ greatly from the typical "bag" air suspension. Here is a link I found explaining the difference. The good news is that the Platinum VIP kit allows driving with air in the system, so when paired with Stance Coilovers you can get your car extremely low and still raise the car to a drivable height.

All in this kit cost me over $4,300, I'm looking to get $3,300 obo.

Here are some pics, includes a pic of my current parking and ride height (the coils can go lower)

What happened man, what are you planning? Glws!

KaienZ34 09-24-2014 05:14 PM

Full air-strut setup?

Realale 09-24-2014 05:29 PM

How are the backs mounted?

Wiggins3377 09-24-2014 05:32 PM

The rears are "true type" coilovers not a strut and purch. You mount the rears no different than the OEM struts and remove the springs.

Here's a pic from a different angle to get an idea of the size. I'll throw in the false floor and carpet with predrilled holes if the buyer pays the extra shipping and trades their carpet.

Very difficult. The cups are drilled/ bored for Stance Coilovers, I assume you'd have to send them back to Platinum VIP and have them remachine the cups which would cost you a pretty penny. Plus the cups have to operate on "true type" coilovers in the back, which for the 370z, I believe Stance is your only option.

Wiggins3377 09-25-2014 09:28 AM

Also as an FYI the rear coils have upgraded BC springs in them. This had to be done as the springs Stance Coilovers come with are too wide in diameter to fit the cups. That cost me another $200 I didn't even consider...

Here's a pic of the car aired all the way up. That's with my current coilover settings. If you want to set them higher the cups will give you more clearence.

Just curious how much would an air line and wiring run typically?

Wiggins3377 10-09-2014 11:53 AM

youll need about 50-60 feet of DOT air line which is $.32 a foot from Bagriders

BAG RIDERS | DOT AIR LINE

And I used this amp wiring kit with no issues. $22 on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I can buy everything and send it with the kit if anyone is interested, you'll just need to add that to the cost.

Wiggins3377 10-10-2014 07:48 AM

early morning bump!
