If you don't mind me asking a few questions please indulge me:
What sort of gains did you get with this setup? What brand resonators did you use? What muffler canisters did you opt to use? Thank you in advance for the info |
I didn't get a chance to measure any gains, I had the exhaust made in preparation for the gtm twin turbo kit I ordered with 3 inch down pipes, the reason I had it custom made and didn't just buy one was because I needed the exhaust to be more quiet and have better ground clearance then anything I could find on the market due to the police and speed bumps in my area, so that's what I designed and made, technically this exhaust has no mufflers, the pipe is full T304 SS and full mandrel bent, two 3" in/out turbo flex pipes and 6 resonators. So that's 2 bottle resonators 3" in/out 12" long in the H-pipe, 2 bottle resonators 3"in/out 18" long in the mid pipe and 2 Ultra Quiet Resonators 3" in/out Resonator Size is 4.5" x 6.75" Oval Body that's 10" Long, Overall Length 14" in the rear axle back, all parts used the the exhaust are vibrant performance components, parts numbers 61004, 1794, 1795, 1142. All flanges, pipes, hangers, resonators and Tig welding are all full stainless steel materials.

Would you say 3" would be to big for NA with bolt ons? I hear time and again you lose power if you go to large. I mean I know you are trying to sell it but honestly is this relegated to turbo and supercharger applications?
|
I would say 3" is a tad bit to big for n/a, aam claims +22hp and +14tq, but I never dynoed mine, but i'am pretty sure I lost low end torque but gained power on top, regardless of any exhaust or bolts-on you use it's key to get a custom tune.
