Can you match the oem brushed aluminum look? Don't like all blacked out and with my wheels the aluminum handles match to break up the black.

I had mine painted at a local shop for 100 bucks they were flawless and done in 2 days....

Guys, I give a ETA but when something that is out of my control (i.e. receiving broken cores without notice) things get really backed up.
This is a side hobby as I noted earlier. I'm trying to push these out as fast as possible without any flaws, so sometimes I do have to redo them (I don't have an actual spray booth so a piece of dust here or there completely messes it up). I hate to give excuses but I do work in the healthcare field that sometimes require me to do a double which has actually been more frequent recently...so yes I am completely exhausted after 17 hours straight with one lunch and no breaks. As it is, I am working on right now: MadChemist - NAG oaktown2000 - K23 including sider markers and emblem I just got the core in for this order so I will be starting on it Monday: phantom370z - KAD / Nismo two-tone That is it for my wait list minus one that is being refunded. I am pretty much done now with this. Once I get the cores back for those orders above I will paint all three Magnetic Black and they will be available for straight purchase. |
Guys it is worth the wait stop being little babies he's up front about it and gives updates well worth it everyone loves my new handles especially me!!!!
|
Can't wait to get these in, any updates?

As of right now, I am not accepting any new orders due to my hectic work schedule. |
Hoping to get my door handles this week. Fingers crossed.
|
My patience and understanding for your excuses has reached an end.
Send me my stuff or refund my money. 60 days to paint door handles is absolutely ridiculous. Worst transaction I've had on 370z.com |
Daily bump till I receive handles or money back
|
I'm sorry that you are having a less than positive experience. He is a good seller and you WILL get your handles. It took over a month to get mine, and that was when he wasn't as time crunched due to work. That time did include waiting on cores, etc. For someone who doesn't do this as a primary business, he is pretty top notch.

Seriously dude, calm the eff down. The ONLY reason for doing something like this would be if a dealer/seller was a forum noob & you wanted to expose them as a fraud/fake. This is OBVIOUSLY not the case for Equal. From looking back on the thread there was plenty of advice that this is NOT Equals primary business & turnaround times can be long well before you committed to the job. Suck it up princess & stop hassling someone who has a passion for the Z. Rant over. I've got a fever, and the only prescription - is more cowbell! |
But when you have been waiting 60 plus days for a set of door handles and then the seller stops giving updates, sorta leaves you with a bad taste. I have no problem with waiting for a good product but communication is key when there is long lead time. An update on the status of current orders would make those who have purchased door handles feel better.
|
I pray that this doesn't make him quit doing the handles for good. When I park "Tina" for the winter I don't really care how long it takes as long as I'm lucky enough to have them painted in gunmetal before spring :)
|
Are you still painting door handles (Magma Red). I'm tracking down some handles from wrecked Z's so I don't really care who long you take on painting them. From the pictures It looks like top quality work. Let me know.

Hey guys, thanks for the support and feedback. I don't blame oaktown or madchemist for lashing out as I have had to keep delaying the handles. When the weather is bad or too windy I really can't do anything that day. If I have guest over I can't do anything either since I usually ned about a day to let the fumes air out.
Madchemist handles are already sprayed, I just need to tap and reassemble. Oaktown handles I had to redo two times since the silver pretty much shows ANY imperfections (uneven metallics and black/white lint). I am respraying the single handle today and hopefully it will be good to be assembled tomorrow. Phantom370z I am starting on yours tomorrow granted oaktowns handles gets completed. I have two more orders after that and then that will be it for my paid orders. To those that have been PMing about new orders unfortunately do to my time constraints and much busier schedule I am done with offering this service. If I have the time, I will make a DIY video on how disassemble and reassemble the handles, thus you can just bring it to your painter. I do not have an ETA on when this guide will be available. I will be selling off three sets of painted cores at the end. I most likely will do two sets Magnetic Black and one set Gun Metallic. Price will be $285 but no ETA. |
