Up for grabs is a very lightly used FI exhaust. I have had it on my Z from approximately 2100 miles to my current odometer reading of 7200 miles.

I have been at stock ride height during this time, and as such, there are zero dents/dings/scratches or anything of the sort.

I am selling not because I'm unsatisfied (this is the best exhaust for the money period with respect to fit, finish, and quality) but because I'm moving and I'd like the cash for the moving expenses, plus I have my factory exhaust in the garagle and I don't feel like moving it. I may also sell my Z but I haven't gotten that far.

I'm currently asking $1300 OBO shipped to the lower 48 states. The exhaust is borderline pristine. It is the closest to a new one you will be able to get on here, and you won't have to wait six months to get it. I will have pictures posted tonight when I return home from work.

EDIT: the exhaust is SS version 2. Sorry for leaving that out.

EDIT 2: good questions coming in - all gaskets and hardware will be included, although you will need new zip ties for the fuel hose wrapping. The wrapping is reusable and will be in with the gaskets and hardware.

CF or SS? Version 1 or 2?

ZBro16 10-30-2013 11:57 AM

Sorry SS version 2. Post edited.

dang370z 10-31-2013 04:32 AM

Omg!! Where were you before I went crazy on wheels! Bump for awesome exhaust!

ZBro16 10-31-2013 09:39 AM

Pics are added. I have not yet been able to remove the exhaust from the car. The pics are of the lowest points of the exhaust, and as you can see, there are no dings, dents, or scrapes on the cans or piping. Buy with confidence.

I plan on cleaning and polishing the exhaust upon removal, in which case I will snap more pictures of it if need be. Thanks for looking.

Dozier 10-31-2013 11:07 AM

Can you believe I put my payment down on my fi exhaust yesterday! I hate you.

gSwift's advice is legit. I could easily meet you in Cullman to exchange the exhaust without the hassles of shipping.

Dozier 10-31-2013 12:36 PM

Ok...I would love to. Find a buyer for my spot. Lol.

I'll take your spot. What exactly did you order?

Dozier 10-31-2013 04:04 PM

Ordered non resonated cat back. Stainless.

Put down 300.

cooltoy 10-31-2013 04:37 PM

Do you think you can change your order to CF and 18"? If you can I'll ask Tony to refund you the deposit and I will take over it. I have been communicating with him the is week and was about to give him a deposit. Not sure I'll gain anything, but at least I will help you out.

DEpointfive0 10-31-2013 05:04 PM

You pay Dozier $300, he tells Tony who is taking over. You call Tony and tell him how you want the exhaust changed.

Done

I haven't even received my invoice yet. I just have a payment confirmation from Paypal. I spoke with Tony through email giving the information though. I am sure he would change the order. I will email him and see what he says.

Update: EMAIL has been sent to Tony. Hoping he responds quickly.

He will be happy to change the order. I changed my mind multiple time and he would adjust the invoice every time. That guy is awesome and has way more patience than I would've had with me. haha

Dozier 10-31-2013 06:32 PM

Cooltoy, Tony said contact him. He would be glad to let you take the order over. Pm me.

I'd rather have them issue a refund. I'll get raped on the exchange if I have to pay someone in US currency. But it does not sound like it will be a problem. I'll e-mail Tony tomorrow.

Dozier 11-01-2013 06:32 AM

Pm sent to zbro16 on purchasing listed exhaust.

Seller refuses to deliver locally. Sounds like a scam to me. Told me to paypal him the cash and he would ship. I prefer to hand cash over in hand. Doesn't make sense. Buyer beware.

cooltoy 11-01-2013 11:21 PM

This sucks. Hope it gets figured out.

It's legit, Zack is a good dude and I've seen the exhaust with my own eyes. I know he mentioned he'd meet you in cullman. That seems fair, that's half way

gSwift 11-02-2013 12:04 AM

Also, don't start trying to screw up his sale with that buyer beware sh#t. He's a busy guy so I'm sure he has his reason for wanting to just ship it. He already sold two different exhaust systems on this forum and both were happy. Get your facts together before you start calling someone a scammer.

Dozier 11-02-2013 06:33 AM

Oh I have my facts straight. He refuses to meet me anywhere but a public place at first. I disclosed to him that I am a police officer and do not own a truck. I wished he would bring the exhaust to my house. He has nothing to worry about. My house is actually not that far from Huntsville. He said he doesn't care if I am Jesus Christ he is not meeting me anywhere but a public place. I said fine meet me somewhere near my house at a gas station. I asked him how old he was. I told him I would give him my badge number and my agency that I work at. He had nothing to worry about with dealing with me. I have cash in hand and I am willing to pay for it right now. He said send me the money through Paypal and I will ship it. And he refuses to meet me anywhere now. Sounds like a scam to me. I do have my facts straight. Why would you turn down cash in hand for any other reason? I work two full time jobs for your information don't give me that do not have time crap.

I already got my refund from Fast Intentions also. Now I am back tracking and will need to get back on the list.

Disclosure: Not trying to ruffle feathers. Just stating my experience.

OP- GLWS! Sorry we couldn't work it out if you ARE as good a guy some are saying.

~Out

ZBro16 11-02-2013 10:42 AM

Alright, I've had enough of this with you. I can play this disclosure/buyer beware game too.

Let's start this from the beginning.

I post a completely legitimate sale thread, which I have done a few times before, selling an exhaust. Dozier shows up, claiming to have ordered an FI exhaust. I notice his avatar says he is located around Birmingham, AL, and I mention that he would have an FI exhaust faster if he ditched his order and went with me, and I could meet him around Cullman. He claims he is interested and goes through the process of finding someone to take his original order.

This is his first PM to me on 10/31/2013 at 5:14PM local time:
Quote:

Any way you would be willing to make a quality sound clip / video of the exhaust? Also, did you put it on yourself? Or did someone do it for you? I am wondering where to put it on at. Thinking I will do it myself I guess. Also since there is no shipping involved and your price was 1300 obo shipped. What is your bottom dollar for a local sale?
I found it odd that he wanted a video of my exhaust considering he had apparently already decided to purchase an FI exhaust anyway.

I replied the following at 5:45PM:
Quote:

There are plenty of YouTube videos out there man. Since it was going to cost me $100 to ship I can do 1200 for you. That's a deal for one barely used and not having to wait.

I installed it myself in my garage. If you can find a lift that will be optimal, but I was able to squirt underneath the car with it backed up onto my oil change ramps.
He replies this on 11/1/2013 at 4:14PM:
Quote:

I got my money refunded from fast intentions. I am looking to pick up your exhaust. You can go ahead and mark it as pending. When can we meet up so I can check it out? I'm also waiting on that video so I can see how it sounds. Do you happen to need an exhaust? I have my factory Nismo exhaust on my car still. Maybe we can switch and you can cut me a break on some money.
At this point, he has still literally committed to NOTHING. He hasn't agreed to a price, is waiting on a video that I said I did not have, and is now trying to trade me an item I do not want. Also note, in my original post, I mention that I already have my factory exhaust.

I reply at 4:43PM:
Quote:

Exhaust is already off the car homie. Fast intentions has a YouTube video on their site. I don't really have anything to capture video with either.

I have my factory exhaust so I'm set. I am sadly trading the Z soon so I don't need anything else for it.

Let me know what you want to do.
Now, he sends me another message at 4:54PM:
Quote:

I want the exhaust. However I do not own a truck and I will not be able to meet to pick it up. Do you have a vehicle that you can bring it to me in? What is your bottom dollar on it locally? This way I can save on shipping cost as well.
Notice how at this point, there is not a single consistent story with any of these messages besides the fact that he wants the exhaust. I am VERY impatient at this point.

I reply to him at 5:15PM:
Quote:

If I have to drive it to Birmingham from Huntsville, I am only meeting in a public place and it will be $1200. That's as low as I'm going. That's a two hour drive from where I live.
He responds at 5:23PM:
Quote:

I could do that. You can bring it to my house though. I'm a cop. No worries. If you like I can give my agency and badge number.
I did not reply to this message as I was out to dinner and didn't feel like spending anymore time on my phone. He replies again at 6:52PM with his address, which I will not disclose for privacy reasons.

Any of these transactions I have ever done via this forum (FOUR to be exact, both buying and selling), I have met the buyer or seller in a public place (gSwift I met at Hooters for his rear valence overlays, for example). There is equal risk to the buyer and seller this way. I don't know very many people on this forum personally, and I'm sure as **** not meeting some dude with 30 posts and a "370Z coming soon" in the middle of the woods with a $1500 car part. I eventually respond at 7:59PM with this -

Quote:

I'm not coming to your residence man. Sorry.

I will ship it to you if you are still interested. And I will do it for $1250. And I will ship upon receipt of a paypal payment to my account if you are still interested.
At 8:58PM, he responds with this:
Quote:

Okay. I can meet you at a gas station close by my house.
I do not immediately respond as I'm at a hockey game by this point, and I get this message at 9:00PM:

Quote:

How old are you? It doesn't make sense for you to not just bring it to my house. I told you I do not have a truck. I am a police officer. I do not see the big deal. Do you want to sell the exhaust or not?
At this point I've lost all patience and don't want to deal with this guy anymore. It doesn't matter how ******* old I am. I have terms of sale and I'm not just going to openly trust someone who claims to be a police officer. As a police officer, he should understand that ****.

I reply to him at 9:08PM:
Quote:

Get bent bro. It doesn't matter how old I am. If I don't feel comfortable delivering a car exhaust to a private residence, then I don't feel comfortable. There is plenty of crap that goes on with private sales via Craigslist etc. If you were truly a police officer, you would understand that. And quite frankly, I don't care if you're Jesus Christ. If I were you, I would call Tony back at FI. I have four other people that are waiting in line. Good luck with your exhaust purchase.
So there is your full disclosure. This dude was difficult as **** to deal with the entire time I had open communication with him and I had enough.

Anyone else on this forum viewing this thread: we have seen people on here before do things that we were pretty skeptical of. I realize everyone needs to start somewhere, but at a first glance, you have a dude with 30 posts and a mythical 370Z going all "buyer beware" on a guy who has been on this forum for two years and has had many successful sales transactions during that time. The entire time I was communicating with him, the story would change or some other little variable would be introduced. Then he starts to degrade me after I offer the option of just shipping him the damn thing, and he's all bent out of shape.

I'm not UPS dude. I'm not a vendor either. And I'm sure as hell not going to someone's private residence who I don't even know to take a risk on a sale WHICH WE COULD NEVER EVEN AGREE ON IN THE FIRST PLACE.

There you have it, forumers. Decide for yourself now that you have both sides of the story.

Dozier 11-02-2013 11:16 AM

First off. I stated mark the exhaust as pending. So that IS your agreement to price. Otherwise I wouldn't have stated I wanted it.

Secondly, what is this about my story being inconsistent. I stated I wanted to "pick up" the exhaust yes. Meaning I wanted to purchase it. Then asked you to bring it to me because I didn't have a truck. Maybe I should have said how much if I come to you. Either way.

Knock my post count. I'm a NEW 370z OWNER. Yes my count is low. Did you ask me for credentials on other sites? No. I would have gladly given you countless sites with my same user name to check up on me.

Lastly. Claiming to be a cop...Let's see here. Told you I would give you my badge number AND agency. Meaning you could follow up and call to confirm.

And my car is real btw.

Again. GLWS.

TripleBlkZ 11-02-2013 11:23 AM

So are saying you can delivery it to my door in Canada, I have bacon? :icon14:

Kidding aside this is a great exhaust, good price and like any other sale in this forums it's to the sellers discretion who to sell to and the terms. Yes in the past there has been may sales done face to face without any issues but it really comes down to the seller and what they feel comfortable doing or not doing. If I was selling something I would prefer face to face transaction but not at my house nor the buyers house, it would be somewhere neutral and with other people around...if the buyer can't understand that there are other people to sell to.

ZBro16 11-02-2013 11:40 AM

Dude you could have gotten a ******* speeding ticket and taken down a cop's information for all I know.

It is ASTOUNDING to me how you're still arguing after I copied and pasted our entire PM transcript.

Lock this thread. I will figure this out on my own. I have ZERO time to further spend on this.

Abso ******* lutely. Protect yourself at all times. I've had people willing to drop the parts off at my house, and that's awesome, but I'd never give someone **** for wanting to meet in a public place.

TKomodo 11-04-2013 11:14 AM

What is the status on this? Sold? Pending? Still for sale?

ZBro16 11-05-2013 06:17 PM

Sale pending.

Baer383 11-05-2013 09:16 PM

Congrats on the sale, dude! Curious though... how did he pick it up? That was his problem for not meeting me halfway is that he couldn't fit it in his vehicle.

No heartburn here anyway - I'm a paypal transaction away from a sale myself, so it sounds like it just worked out great for everyone involved.
