Bump! I want this exhaust so bad it sounds amazing.

JDMFairlady21 03-19-2013 04:01 PM

can get you a brand new one shipped directly to you, if you want :)

McCammitt11 03-19-2013 05:19 PM

Problem is i need to get it for like $700 :/

Highway 03-19-2013 05:28 PM

I picked mine up about this time last year off of a guy on here. It only took 6 months of looking for it to come up.

You are right though, I really like the sound of my car now...

McCammitt11 03-19-2013 05:30 PM

Hopefully one comes up before 6 months. Do you have high flow cats or test pipes or anything?

Highway 03-19-2013 05:46 PM

I thought I would have HFC's by now, but still haven't.

Good luck to you. I really do hope you find one in your price range and soon.

I just installed mine last Saturday.............holy @#$t, what a difference it makes. The sound is off the charts, The look is off the charts and The Performance is off the charts.

Just keep in mind current Berk system now has Round Tips. In your price range you may find one with the original Oval Tips. Just letting you know what to look out for so you can get your preference.

The Round Tips

The Berk System :happydance:

McCammitt11 03-19-2013 06:10 PM

Nice video sounds good. Im assuming the weird noise in the video is just from the microphone on the camera? I have berk hfc's installed now. Im hoping it wont be too too loud with the berk catback.

znakos 03-19-2013 06:11 PM

Berk=DOPE. Stillen and Berk are both the best sounding exhausts. Quiet under low RPM's then sound like BEASTS under acceleration. I even think Berk sounds better than Stillen now.

McCammitt11 03-19-2013 06:13 PM

Thanks tiger123. :) I dont mind the look of the oval tips, i think it adds character to the exhaust. I would be happy with either version.

tiger123 03-19-2013 06:13 PM

Yup :iagree:

McCammitt11 03-19-2013 06:16 PM

Yeah both exhausts sound great. I think the main reason why I went with the berk is because I already have their hfc's.:happydance:

McCammitt11 03-19-2013 06:18 PM

Do you have hfc's or tp tiger?

Not yet. I wanted to see what the system was like first. I have only driven the car a couple of times since the install as the weather here in Chicago has been crap.

I am leaning towards the Berk HFC's. I read they will add an additional 18hp at the wheel with some additional torque.

I will more than likely purchase them within the next few weeks.

znakos 03-19-2013 06:29 PM

Tiger you live in Chicago? Same here. Ive got to hear how that that Berk CBE sounds. I will be installing Berk HFCs to my Nismo exhaust in a few weeks. Maybe we can meet and hear how each others cars sound?

McCammitt11 03-19-2013 06:32 PM

Yeah those are great gains. If your doing the hfc install yourself get prepared for the demon bolts. It took me awile to get those off. Any idea how loud the berk is now compared to like a flowmaster on a gt mustang? Ive never heard the berk in person let alone any exhaust on the 370. Im just trying to get an idea of how loud it will be.

Yeah. The GoPro doesn't have the best mic, plus it was in the waterproof case which distorts it more.

McCammitt11 03-19-2013 06:42 PM

Gotcha, I noticed that when I went snowboarding with the go-pro. The sound was pretty bad especially in the waterproof case like you said. But its a great video camera otherwise.

Check out YouTube for sound videos on the Berk. There are many with a few really good ones. YouTube in addition to this forum were the resources I used when looking for my new exhaust. I had narrowed it down to three. FI, Berk and Tanabe. In order to take full advantage of the Tanabe, you had to purchase their Y pipe which took the cost to $1700 - $2000g's depending on who/where purchased. For me, it was more than I was willing to spend for an Exhaust. The FI's are awesome, but long wait times, up to 3 months wait. Decided on the Berk and I am extremely satisfied. A truly great Exhaust.

Never really herd the flowmaster on gt mustang, so can't comment. Again, I would search on YouTube. It's not like being there in person, however you get a general idea of the sounds the various exhausts make.

From what I have been able to gather, the Berk HFC's make the tone of the exhaust even deeper, not to mention the increased gains due to non restrictive CATS.

As far as loudness goes, they are louder than stock, but are not that loud to annoy any neighbors. I too was fearful the Berk would be too loud as I live in a very quiet neighborhood.

The Berk is deeper and more throaty. No rasp and no drone. At highway speeds it just purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs. At low RPM's it purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs. Step on it and go to WOT and this thing ROARS..........Awesome.

Even though I have 7AT, I use the Paddles alot!! When you downshift, the sound it makes then too is intoxicating......Awesome. If you have a M6, you will absolutely love it.

I hope you either find one used soon or a big bag of cash on the highway so you can order new. Either way, it will bring a smile to your face every time!:D

znakos 03-19-2013 08:18 PM

Nice! I will definitely see you at that meet!! Hopefully I put my stock Ray's back on by then, these winter rims here for the Chicago weather have been on for too long!!

McCammitt11 03-19-2013 08:22 PM

I get the chills when I hear the car downshift with the berk catback and hfc's, and thats on youtube, I cant wait to hear it in person. Lets hope for the bag of cash!

McCammitt11 03-19-2013 09:34 PM

and yes I have the 6 speed.:happydance:

McCammitt11 03-21-2013 10:49 AM

Bumpp

znakos 03-22-2013 02:49 PM

Bump , get this man his exhaust!!

McCammitt11 03-23-2013 12:29 AM

I agree! Hopefully your hfc's satisfy your needs, theres nismo exhausts for sale all over the place but no berks yet.:icon14:

znakos 03-23-2013 03:44 AM

I hope those HFCs do satisfy my needs and they probably will, Berk makes great stuff. You really want that Berk CBE, I hope one pops up for a great price!

McCammitt11 03-23-2013 10:04 AM

Ones gotta show up soon, im willing to pay anyone willing to sell??

tiger123 03-23-2013 09:38 PM

I came across this thought I would pass it along in case you are interested. It's not a Berk, but it does sound very good. Also, it's in your price range and OP is located in Chicago area.

McCammitt11 03-23-2013 10:38 PM

It does sound pretty good, but I really want that berk and I can wait another couple months before I get ansy haha. Thanks though tiger I really appreciate it.:tiphat:

tiger123 03-24-2013 12:05 PM

No problem. As long as you are not in any hurry, I agree with you. The Berk is worth the wait my friend.

Keep bumping the thread, one will pop up here at some point. We'll keep an eye out for you as well.:tiphat:

McCammitt11 03-24-2013 03:01 PM

Awesome thanks. Theres so many nismo's up for sale im tempted to buy one if its dirt cheap, id rather have the berk though but its tempting. I could always re sell the nismo if I dont like it. Theres one up for sale for $250 I think. Local for now though but still.

tiger123 03-24-2013 03:26 PM

Nismo exhaust is good, but IMO too close to the sound of stock for me. No doubt, it is better sounding than stock.

It all depends on how long you can hold out.

McCammitt11 03-24-2013 03:35 PM

Yeahh, i mean even if i do buy a nismo im still going to get the berk, ill just see which one i like better then sell the other one :) I honestly dont mind losing a hundred bucks or so id rather find the perfect exhaust for me.
