Continental Extreme Contact DW Tires - 95% tread left

Used for less than 1000 miles. I got these brand new for a magazine shootout where everyone had to run the same tire. They have made 1 round trip from Vegas to Phoenix (~630 highway miles), 5 autocross runs, ~20 minutes of road course use, and 5 drag racing runs (no burnouts). Took them off when I got back home to put my regular track tires back on. All track time was done with proper camber settings so the very small amount of wear they did receive was even across the tire. These are virtually brand new.

Make: Continental Tire
Model: Extreme Contact DW
Treadwear: 340
Sizes: 275/35/18 front, 285/35/18 rear

These are the stickiest non-race tire that Continental makes at the moment. They are a great street tire, will last a while, and give good feedback on the track. They perform more like a 200 treadwear tire than a 340 treadwear which I was pleasantly surprised by. This is a great tire for daily driving use and an EXCELLENT tire for someone learning to drive on a track.

Brand new from TireRack.com these run $900+shipping. My price is $500 shipped (AK, HI, Canada extra). Ready to ship ASAP.

THESE ARE FOR 18" RIMS!!!

Bump for good tires. I had DW Extremes on my 350z. Loved them.

TreeSemdyZee 06-08-2012 10:34 PM

I'm pretty sure I hate you now. Just bought a set less than two months ago.

Even though the tread pattern doesn't look aggressive at all, these are great tires, like Mike said, very sticky. Great tread wear rating too.

SPOHN 06-12-2012 11:23 AM

What a deal.

xsmobe 06-12-2012 08:47 PM

Excellent tires. extremely sticky. if they were 325/25zr20, i would buy them. GLWS!

They will be too wide. Recommended rim widths would be 9.5" front and 10" rear.

Illmatic370z 06-25-2012 11:00 AM

Thanks for the input!

18x9.5" front and 18x10" rear. I don't remember the offsets unfortunately, but they were standard offsets from Forgestar, who made the wheels they were on.

b1adesofcha0s 06-25-2012 09:35 PM

The 275's will fit on the stock 18" rears, but the 285's are too wide. I would have picked them up if they did fit, but good luck with the sale

eastwest2300 06-25-2012 09:47 PM

b1adesofcha0s 10-20-2012 12:47 PM

I might be looking to buy a set of DW's in the spring time, so I might grab the 275's from you if they're still available at the time. I'd buy the whole set if I could fit 285's on the base wheels.

M.Bonanni 11-20-2012 10:00 AM

Taking up space.

pfdaxe 11-20-2012 10:54 AM

Like others have said....if these were 19", they would be gone....by ME ;)

Not willing to separate unless you can find someone to buy the other two.

Well that sucks. I'd buy the full set, but the 285's wont fit my base wheels. If you change your mind, let me know. Have you tried putting these on eBay?

Haven't done anything like eBay or Craig's List or other car forums that these sizes would be good for (Mustang/Corvette/etc.). Been lazy with it.

Yeah they'd probably sell much easier that way. I don't think there are many people running the 275/285 combo on 18's for the Z.

b1ades, I'll buy the 285s if you take the 275s

OP, let me know what the 285s would cost shipped to 78731 if you parted them.
