Even at 18", the noise might give you a headache after a while. It's definitely a lot louder than I was expecting, but still sounds great. Good luck finding a deal!

Ahhh, you guys are scaring me. Drone? We're talking about 3-4k rpm cruising? Would it matter if my car is Auto in 7th gear? Any auto guys out there.

I think you would get use to the drone. I did with my last car, it's just my passengers would notice right away.hahaha

I tried to record a video on the way in to work today. If it came out good enough, (won't know until after the upload), I'll post the link. I usually cruise at 80mph on the highway into work, sometimes with cruise control and without. The video shows both and I even turned on the stereo to show how much I have to turn it up to block out any sort of drone. I'll let you know if it caught it properly. :)

Ok well here is the attempt I made to record. The stereo volume was at 16 or 17 and to me, it blocked out much of the noise though the video says otherwise. Sorry for shakiness, I had to hold the flip cam while driving.

Thanks for posting up the video. It was very helpful and confirms that the "drone" is not bad. I hear more of the road noise than anything and the "drone" is very low. I was mainly worried about the highway cruising and it's really not bad with the FI 18". I can tell that the exhaust get's loud when you mash on the gas, this is what I'm looking for. Stock sound while cruising and something deep and louder when WOT. :)

I think this is the setup that I'm looking for, but I might go with the SS because Tony said that the CF mufflers have a higher pitch european tone compared to the SS.

I might just order direct from FI since they include a 3 yr warranty, unless I can get a really good deal in the near future.

Since mine is my daily driver, this is exactly what I'm looking for as well. What is your set up if you don't mind me asking?

I'm on a stock setup right now. I'm on the fence right now about getting a CAI or not. I might just do drop-ins, MAF tubes, CBE and dyno tune.

I already ordered one with 18" resonators. I think 12" will be too loud for me.
