NISMO S-Tune wheels, 1500 plus shipping

Replacing my wheels, so these are up for sale. Right now, they are black with burnt orange lips on them (2005 C6 Corvette Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic, to be specific). They have some stains from brake dust in the orange lips on the front wheels, as powdercoat and tracking the car don't really go well together. When the powder gets hot, it gets a little soft and brake dust can embed in it. If someone wants them as is, then I'll do 1000 plus shipping, but they really should be refinished first.

My 1500 price includes refinishing in your choice of color! Add 200 if you want them two toned, as its a lot of work. I can add the nismo logo or leave it off, your choice there too.

This is wheels only, no TPMS or tires.

I'm running Carbotech XP12s, and the wheels get extremely hot on the track. They were perfect until this weekend. Thats why my regular track wheels and calipers are satin black. its the only color that can really stand up to track use, but only because the brake dust is satin black.

What kinda wheels are you getting Mike?

Good luck with your new Nismos Mike. I can't wait to see what you are going to do with them.

in their current state, they really aren't marketable, especially since Caravan got another car. he is the only other one with the same accent color. I'm thinking a glossy red lip with a satin black would look really hot though.

Diocletian 08-21-2010 11:33 AM

Call me stupid but I thought the S-tune wheels were heavier than that?

Those are the factory stats on the s tune wheel. The other nismo 370z wheel is 20lb front 23lb rear actual weight.

Mike 08-21-2010 03:00 PM

Thanks, yep those weights are straight from nissan

w0ady 08-22-2010 04:08 PM

bump for a great guy! cant wait to see the new wheels bro.

HKYStormFront 08-23-2010 04:46 PM

So.... I been weighing wheel options for a looong while now. Really love the Venaci Spirits but after only putting 5500 on the beast since May 09 it's really hard to justify the expense. Any thoughts on these in white on my MB? I ask you as a professional and not the seller of these rims of course :tiphat:

Mike 08-23-2010 08:39 PM

Personally, I'm not a fan of white wheels, but I did see a picture of someone else's white track wheels on black, and it looked pretty good. I don't think I would ever do it though.

I'm guessing MB is magnetic black, but now I'm thinking Monterey Blue by your avatar? On blue, maybe.

Jamaica2G 09-09-2010 10:11 PM

Mikey, you sold these yet?
I might have a buyer for you from the G35 forum

Caravanshaka 09-09-2010 10:53 PM

Sorry Mike, car is sold now :crying:

I think on white though, the lip wouldn't have looked as good as it did on your black Z. I'm anxious to see what you do with the nismo wheels though!!

actually, I think I am going to keep them. After looking at both sets of wheels side by side, I like the S-tunes and their lip better than the regular nismos.

wow really? Hell, if I still had my Z I'd be buying the nismo's from you then :icon18:

I think they'd look funny on a G35 sedan though

aadosx 09-10-2010 09:49 AM

Are you going to sell the regular Nismos, Mike?

350z_2nr 09-10-2010 09:58 AM

those are amazing looking wheels man

haven't decided yet, but if I do, I have a local buyer that wants them. First thing I am going to eventually do, is powdercoat them black for my friend Rouge370Z and do a swap for his nismo rims. I just don't know when I will even get time for that.

ZPirate 09-10-2010 10:51 AM

Mike, I was recently able to find a set of Nismos. I need to talk to you about powder coat possibilities for them. I really don't want to do black, but I need something that will go with Platinum Graphite. I was thinking a darker blue, perhaps something close to Daytona Blue. What do you think?

Yes I know black looks good with PG and I have thought about going that route, but I want something a little different.

Adrian, I'm thinking mag blue is just a bit dark. I'd like something in between Mag Blue and F Zero Blue. Something like Daytona Blue.

Mike 09-11-2010 09:06 AM

How about black chrome? Thats what I was gonna do myself, but I don't know if it will go with my theme.

ChrisSlicks 09-11-2010 09:18 AM

Hey Mike, try this stuff out on your PC rims, works pretty well on the stock painted ones. They carry it at AutoZone. Spray it on clean wheels, repells about 90% of the brake dust and what is left washes right off.

Eagle One - Keep Clean

Mike 09-11-2010 05:10 PM

I'll give it a shot

Black chrome would be interesting!

aadosx 09-12-2010 08:57 PM

Whatever color the guy with the white TT Nismo 370Z used on his Nismo wheels looked great! It was some sort of grey.
