FS: Fast Intentions Exhaust. 3 days old. 18" resonators w SS mufflers. Perfect cond.

EDIT: SOLD!!!!!!!!

EDIT: I'm getting a lot of "PENDING" status from people and I somehow started quoting $1,100 for my "best offer" so I might as well update it here as well. I will let it go for $1,100!!! That is almost a 300 dollar discount with zero waiting period. First come first served. Thanks.

Hey Guys,

Today was a sad sad day. I got my FI exhaust installed on Saturday and went into work today. Well it turns out that my 50, 60, and 70 year old clients from Beverly Hills whom I drive around all day aren't too gravy with the exhaust. It was shocking to see how startled they were getting even with extreme granny style driving. They pay my salary and if they can't stand it, I can't have it. My loss is your gain.

My setup is the 18" resonators with stainless steel mufflers. I'm sure you guys know enough about the system so i won't go too much into details. This setup goes for $1260 plus tax which is about $1376. I will let them go for $1176, a $200 discount plus you get to skip the 1 month waiting period on these puppies. I am very serious and lowballers will be ignored. I would prefer local pick up or drop off, but for serious buyers, i will ship and split the shipping costs 50/50. You can pm me or call me at 213-407-0220 but i will give priority to the callers.

You can read my review here:

Thanks for looking.

Tim

I'm very sorry to hear this. How unfortunate!

Anyway, good luck with the sale.

Trese7en 02-16-2010 09:57 PM

Will these fit on the G37 if so I'll buy today!

tbonesteak 02-16-2010 09:58 PM

I have no idea. I would assume they would not fit tho...... =(

nope, different wheel base.

Trese7en 02-16-2010 10:06 PM

Meh yeah thought so GLWS anyways should go quick

tbonesteak 02-16-2010 10:31 PM

Thanks mang.

m4a1mustang 02-16-2010 10:38 PM

Wow that sucks dude!

DIGItonium 02-17-2010 12:02 AM

You've got to be kidding me!!! I had the FI 12" + Berk HFC, and it was loud enough to rattle the windows in the office. People talked about it, but no one really gave me grief about it. More often than not people just poke fun at me. Switching back to OEM cats definitely made things quieter and so much more smooth.

I hope you don't give up so soon!

phelan 02-17-2010 12:54 AM

that is honestly one of the worst things i've ever heard in my life. losing money because other people can't take the noise...*sigh*

GLWS...what are you getting next?

also...might i suggest waiting a while longer? if i remember right, the system should calm down in a few more days. consider it a break in period.

tbonesteak 02-17-2010 01:03 AM

Thanks guys. I think I might as well get a set of wheels to start. I can't think of anything else i might want that will not interfere with my work. The oem nismo wheels are looking mighty tasty! haha

puckshaw 02-17-2010 08:18 AM

Sent you a PM ;)

matrix_square 02-17-2010 09:55 AM

too bad i just ordered my FI 18" resonators catback from Tony. Or else i would be all over this... Since i dont really want to wait.

Good Luck selling it... not trying to ruin your sale... last FI exhaust with 18" resonators sold for $800 and buyer paid shipping.

it sucks that you cant just keep it... sorry man.

pgrmstr 02-17-2010 10:22 AM

sounds like you need a Toyota Prius for the client transportation...oh wait, then you won't be able to stop....Maybe a Camry.....scratch that, then you'll be suddenly accelerating....a Corolla maybe....never mind, that has trouble steering

tbonesteak 02-17-2010 10:54 AM

hahha true. The last one sold was 800 because it was 3 months old and had 3500 miles, not 3 days with 60 miles.

phelan 02-17-2010 11:00 AM

ask tony what his return policy is :rofl2:

Mike@Blackline 02-17-2010 02:23 PM

if you just got this, cant you have some shop drill a hole in the bottom of the tips, and find a silencer that will fit, like this:
Club RSX.com: HKS Inner Muffler Silencer

seems more reasonable than selling it

tbonesteak 02-17-2010 03:28 PM

I thought of that as well, but what's the point of having an exhaust if i'm gonna have to leave it plugged all day? Having a shop to do it at a reasonable cost is another issue.

Mike@Blackline 02-17-2010 03:31 PM

unless your clients live in your car, it will give you plenty of time to enjoy your investment. just my thoughts, id hate to give up something at a loss as soon as i bought it. what do you do for a living out of curiosity

tbonesteak 02-17-2010 03:33 PM

Price edited!!! Refer to first post!!!

vipor 02-17-2010 03:37 PM

Too loud even with the 18" resonators wow. Sucks. Wish I was in SoCal. GL with your sale :tiphat:

tbonesteak 02-17-2010 03:45 PM

I will ship the thing if u want.

Mike@Blackline 02-17-2010 05:16 PM

when you say 'you guys already know about this setup,' i for example dont. what brand is it? just suggesting you list the basics

tbonesteak 02-17-2010 05:27 PM

Sorry dude, here is some more info:

http://www.the370z.com/intake-exhaus...aust-here.html

That thread has 3,000 replies and over 100,000 views. In a nutshell, it is the 370Z community's favorite exhaust system by a big margin. It produces amazing gains (20 whp), looks the best (to most people on the board), sounds the best (to most people on the board), and has outsold every exhaust on the market. If you order now, you will have a wait time of about a month since it's so high in demand. Let me know if you have more questions. Thanks.

pbpd4816 02-17-2010 05:37 PM

And whoever sold that F.I. exhaust for $800 was either an idiot or was in a serious crunch for some money. Could have easily got more for it...

wanna do a trade for my Invidia, its not obnoxious at all. I'll pay a little cash with it and take the down time on my side.

no problem. mine is seriously quiet and I would kind of like an obnoxious one to annoy the neighbors, but its not in the budget right now to buy outright. I just ordered a new set of tires today, and thats even ridiculous because I am on vacation in the bahamas.

No offense but I have been in buying and selling performance parts. Our guideline is 40% for very used parts and max of 60% for mint parts. Again, this is our generic guidelines and applies to all massively produced parts.

tbonesteak 02-17-2010 10:50 PM

40% off for an item with a 1 month wait that's been used for 3 days and 60 miles.....you cannot be serious here dude.

cab83_750 02-18-2010 01:26 AM

Tbone

As stated above this is the norm for other parts. The FI could be an exception since, as you said, you have to wait. Supply and demand could be your friend today. Remember the Rays wheels a few months back? They were upwards $1,800; now some are at $800

As the FI is very desirable today you could get your price. And I wish you would.

Good luck with the sale.

tbonesteak 02-18-2010 02:07 AM

SOLD to Schrute. Couldn't be happier since i know Jeff is probably the only guy that is more anal than I am and I know he will take care of the exhaust. Thanks for the smooth transaction Schrute.

schrute 02-18-2010 02:10 AM

Thanks for the great deal tbone! Can't wait to get this beauty on my car :D:D:D
