I just finished upgrading exhaust and intake, so I'm in the market for ecutek.

What is the purpose of the cable? From my understanding, the end user isn't able to tune, and the tuner can use their cable on multiple vehicles. What would I lose if I just paid for the license and had it tuned at a shop?

From what I understand, you miss out on the capability to log your own data and send it off for a remote tune.

Sorry I didn't get a notification about these responses, yes the cable allows you to easily retune in case you add more mods or remove any. I Don't know about tuning yourself you have to be a master tuner approved by ECUTek.
