GLWS! :tiphat:

Maybe if I win the powerball tomorrow. GORGEOUS seats.

jchammond 08-22-2017 12:01 PM

Are they designed to fit a big man (6'6" 275)?

They sit the same height as base/sport seats, and what's nice is the bottom seat area has the lower bolster making it easier for getting in and out.

cooltoy 08-22-2017 02:45 PM

Are they powered?

Price will not be reduced. We have another car we can put these in.

Price is actually incredibly low. They're factory, they're Nismo, they have airbags, and they have all mounting hardware.

You can't even buy aftermarket NON-airbag Recaro sportsters for this price with mounts/sliders.

*updated photos in post #1 with bolster and lower conditions, literally brand spankin' new!

NextLevel 08-24-2017 09:30 AM

Few offers but not sold. bump! Direct swap into ANY 370z!

JARblue 08-24-2017 09:58 AM

May I ask if you have any financing offers that would allow me to pay in installments that won't arouse suspicion from a CPA wife who monitors the finances? :tiphat:

scope22 08-24-2017 10:14 AM

Withdraw some cash once in a while and hide it in a mattress...works for me.

The cash/paypal fund is there ... just lacking at the moment. One method I have is to take friends out to eat - I put entire tab on my credit card for the extra points and they hand me some cash for their portion :icon17:

I've got an annual week long job out of town coming up at the end of September. It is always a nice chunk of change (just about enough to cover these seats), but it'll be December before they write a check

**edit** I'm off to buy some lottery tickets ... and I can seriously count on one hand the number of lottery tickets I've purchased in my lifetime :icon17:

Wowza, thought these would have gone quick. We'll give it a few more days, otherwise we'll throw them into another one of our Z's.

Previous ones for sale were from a Nissan Juke which do not fit in the 370z without heavy modification to the bottom bases. Also were pretty worn/used.

These are a direct fit/swap for the 370z, and are brand new.

killrain 08-25-2017 01:01 PM

Im interested in this payment plan........:excited:

2011 Nismo#91 08-25-2017 03:04 PM

GLWS but a pair of brand new Full Recaro Sportster CS with rails will run a person less the 4k before shipping. IMO the Juke Nismo RS seats are worth 4k brand new because you get the Recaro bottom rather then the Nissan bottom seat.

I bought those seats you mentioned and they were in like new condition much like these and it required about an hour more of time and one $90 dollar passenger weight sensor bypass.

Hadeedee 08-25-2017 09:30 PM

Rather trade in for a '16 nismo lol

Base Recaro sportsters are made from black vinyl which retail at 1499-. I'm well aware of costs as we sell them daily. This is the lowest grade material Recaro offers, which does not include bases, sliders, or airbags.

If you choose to get them custom upholstered post purchase, you'll look at close to 4k just in upholstery as a legit shop will completely reskin them.

As for airbags, you're looking at an add'l $350/ea seat, sliders are 150/ea, and bases are 140/ea. 3k + all options putting pricing over $4200, which doesn't include shipping OR upgraded upholstery.

These are also plug and play. Thanks for the opinions and input, but if not interested, please move along. We have no issues keeping these and putting them into another one of our cars.

DarkJak 08-29-2017 11:42 AM

The leather recaro sportsters are around 2k. Great deal seeing as these are plug and play and have actual leather. (plus the niceness of being OEM)

First time noticing, but the driver's side bottom seat bolsters are different than the passenger side's on the Nismo seats. Do you notice any difference in hold when sitting in the driver's side vs passenger side?

Just FYI, not only is the passenger side different, the drivers side is also not from Recaro. Just compare the Juke Nismo Reacro's to these and you'll see. Both bottoms from the 370z version have a softer look to them.

I'm only giving my input because you are way overselling what you have and over stating other prices.
The equivalent Recaro sells for 1,750-1,600, new.
https://www.vividracing.com/catalog/...150714699.html
http://www.stableenergies.com/Recaro/products/296/#race

For a seat, slider and rail, cost ~160, new.
Nissan 370 Z 09+ Seat Brackets

For Passenger seat only, airbag weight sensor bypass $90.

I really think these would sell if you just made them a little cheaper then a new set of Recaros with all you need to bolt in install.

James10694 08-29-2017 09:52 PM

Yea but nobody wants the base recaros they want the OEM Nismo seats. I mean if someone doesn't want to pay 4k for these just in spite then they can go buy them from Nissan directly for $10k :tiphat:

I'm totally agree with you. But as forum rules you can't say something negative or price being too high for the product. Just let the op put whatever he wants and maybe some rich amateur will buy them.

Haha they are "OEM" seats not aftermarket seats. If some amateur wants the look only they might go for these OEM recaro. But only real car enthusiast would want the base recaro with stronger bolster. If someone doesn't want to pay 4K for these they wouldn't even go to Nissan to spend 10k for them because they are only OEM.
Not trying to say which is better, only depending what you want, for look or for functionality. Just my two cents.
GLWS OP

Man I want these. If they will just hold out a couple more months.

I understand you're trying to explain things/justify pricing, but you're points are 100% invalid. We've sold over 200 sets of Recaro seats, we're very well acquanted with real live pricing Retail, MSRP, wholesale, cost, etc etc etc.

1) "seat slider and rail" - take the time to click the boxes, you also need sliders unless you're 4'10". You need both passenger and driver side.

2) You're considering "airbag by-pass" for $90. These have OEM airbags ($450 upgrade per INDIVIDUAL aftermarket recaro seat from recaro Germany), and over $750/ea seat via Nissan USA direct.

3. Also, these are Leather outters with red stitch, not Alcantara suede or vinyl.

Volk Z 09-02-2017 08:43 PM
