Nice! I have a new STi coming!

Z-Girl 12 12-25-2014 02:39 PM

DavidZ370 12-25-2014 02:41 PM

Good looking out:tiphat:..an STI is actually what I'm trying to get my hands on...

nogoodname 12-25-2014 03:07 PM

Congrats. These new STi's and wrx's are hard to find. Best AWD drivetrain but worst engine ever made. So much fun in the snow!!

Z-Girl Cars.com had some within 6hr drive of you. STi or WRX models.

In what aspect? If you mean road holding and handling, you're wrong.

You have to give us more information than "I need awd and automatic". Why would you get rid of a masterpiece like a Z for a wrx? (I got rid of mine because I got married and refused to drive a beater in the winter anymore. Couldn't afford two brand new cars at that point.)

Congrats either way. The new WRX's are pretty decent cars.

DavidZ370 12-25-2014 03:14 PM

STI>Z lets end that there, congrats on the new car man!

Zgirl you planning to trade your Z in favor of the STI?

If I could afford the M4 yes in a heartbeat. But since I can't, I'm keeping the Z and hoping to add the STI to my garage. I really need a sedan and might as well make it a fun one. Looks like jacksonville has a few on hand, will head there this weekend and test drive one.

Zoren 370 12-25-2014 03:40 PM

Cool keep the Z.

cooltoy 12-25-2014 04:42 PM

Nice sedan.

sheps58 12-25-2014 09:45 PM

The Z became impractical. My wife could not drive a standard, useless in the snow and not enough trunk space for a long weekend away. I thought about a G37x coupe or a BMW 4 series. However, those cars were too expensive.

Really there not comparable but as far as a sports car is concerned the Z is superior. Not to mention the STI's near ancient engine with a hell of a reputation for cracked ringlands.

I'd like to have an STI to go with my Z, but certainly not as a replacement for it. Since I can only afford one it's got to be the Z.

Z-girl that is my dealer for the STi on order. Ask for Phil Porter.

The new 2.0 Subaru engine was noted as 1 of the top engines of the year. The Japanese version of the STI has a 300hp 2.0 engine not the 2.5

Yes the new 2.0 is a massive improvement over the old EJ series but they didn't put it in the American STI so it doesn't really matter how good it is.

If I could afford both I would skip them and just get a new Z06

not a bad choice. i wouldve kept the z and gotten the sti wagon if it was me though.

actually no, i wouldve gotten the is350 f-sport and kept my 370z and fit if it was me. :D

My friend bought an F-Sport last week. Im not impressed at all. Much rather have a Q50S

sheps58 12-26-2014 12:31 PM

I enjoyed my 370 but the car I really miss is my 280z. If I had my choice of cars, I would like to own a Porsche Carrera 4.

Waiz 12-26-2014 06:57 PM

I really like my brothers Impreza, these are great cars and now I understand why people are so loyal to the brand.

As most of us are figuring out, the Z becomes very impractical over time as your only car if you're not single.

How much did they give you for your Z?

Luciano13 12-26-2014 08:36 PM

love the family car:tup:
I may go the same route once I have to get rid of my 370z:driving:

Its great he bought a good awd car:tup:
But in the end.....

Needed AWD and auto? Should have bought a used GT-R

gumbyy 12-27-2014 11:27 AM

I have both an STi hatch and a Nismo Z. Like comparing apples to oranges, two completely different cars. Stock, both put up similar power numbers. Although power delivery is much different.

The way I look at it is the STI is extremely fun and practical while the Z is equally as fun in its own right. There's times that I choose to drive the STi and times where I'd rather be cruising in the Z.

my buddy has a Q50S. it's nice. but i like the lexus's styling better. its not like im going to be driving the sedan spiritedly either. i do that with my Z. the lexus is more for the interior, and quality. it will be my dressup car.

he has little kids? if so, 2 door is a pita. i speak from experience. 4 door wagon is the way to go if this is going to be a family car with little kids.

everything is nice and decent in a 2 door on a nice day. introduce rain downpour picking up kids after school and immediately understand wat pita means. your door sw, panels all wet while buckling the little kid in. no room for you to get inside the vehicle to close the door behind you.
