Strictly speaking, no reason they can't have more than one Sti version since its not a trim level

I give it a week or two after initial sale before some shop has an WRX STI motor swap into either of them.

Saw it in person yesterday, I'm not sold on it until final numbers are released.

Hmm..

It's going to take a little while to grow on me. But I can't wait to test drive it though.

:iagree:

That was the first thing I noticed when I saw the shot from the rear. The car really loses all credibility once you see the rear tires.

Most any street car these days sub corvette isn't going to have anything wider than 245's... So it's not unexpected.

me too, at least as far as interior quality is concerned.

Getting back to this official reveal for the ft 86 or whatever it's officially called now, I don't think it looks to bad and I am positive it'll be a hoot to drive, but the lack of power stock still irks me.

I've owned two miatas in the past (99 and an 03) and both were a blast in the corners and frustrating in the straights. Basically driving straight and you go "I hate this fvcking car", then corner sharply and go "I love this fvcking car", then straighten the wheel out and back to being frustrated. I have a feeling this car will be a bit like that in stock trim.

that 12.5 to 1 comp ratio isn't going to help with going FI either. DI is a plus for me, better tech and the aftermarket will learn to tune/work with it better as time goes on.
