Highly doubtful it will be 2500lbs or under in the US version. Anemic 200hp for an AWD.

I can not wait for these to hit the lots, I will be in line for a test drive. Now I just need to make my wife drive MT because I will not buy another AT in a car I plan to modify and get screwed like I did with the Z.

Well all the numbers are coming from pictures from brochures people are finding in Japan, then converting price, weight, etc. Issue with this is that the US requires other emission equipment not needed in the US but Japan also might get better pricing or something.

Just under 2700 lbs (a bit more for bells and whistles variant, bit less for stripped down "track only" model), 200 ps (197 bhp?)/151 lbft

ECU will be reflashable... no definitive word yet on whether there will be a factory (i.e., TRD) blower option, but signs point to no, at least not right away.

Looks good, and will handle and brake beautifully, but IMO needs about 50-75 more bhp/tq, or at least a plug and play option to to make that so... :(

Ya, but the Motor Trend article states 170 lbft of torque when most others have said ~150. Also there high end mpg estimate is 27 mpg city, which would be the same as a Honda Fit. I highly doubt a 200 hp sporty car is gonna get near the same mpg as a Honda Fit. Sorry, but I'm gonna believe brochures more than Motor Trend. And Motor Trends price estimates seems way off from everything that has been rumored previously.

Well, MT and other magazine/websites are quoting the early info they all got access to. Things have changed of course so they are all just assuming things at this point.

Nevermind. I get confused with BRZ and FRS. The BRZ may very well be 28K. The FRS is the price I was thinking about.

i dont like the wheels on that thing (looks too subaru rally dorky look) but with a nice rounded 5 or 7 spoke it should turn out nicely. :D
