BMW M4 or Lexus RCF?

M4, pretty sure it will have a manual option.

Yes it will, the auto trans is a $2,900 option. Was on a BMW forum and one poster wrote that he does not like their turbo engines with a manual trans as there is occasional turbo lag when shifting gears (rpm's drop so turbo must spool up to speed again). While with their DCT there is no lag at all with gearshifts due to ECU and quickness of shifts.

Does that make sense about the manual lag?

Yeah, it does. My dd is an STi. Have to really know how to work that throttle when you shift, or

Twin turbo like the M235i im about to test. Minimal lag. I would not be too concerned overall. Drive and see what you think.

We have the M235i test on Tuesday. Weather should be great. Will pass data soon. Looking at the specs I wouldnt bother with the 435i. Its got less power weighs more etc. All reviews Ive read give the M235i the same performance as the outgoing M3. I think you might want to take a good look if our test is pleasing!

I have had a 135i and a 328i (with the turbo 4) and the lag is near imperceptible, though I could see how with a manual you'll notice it much more. Especially if you are the type that shifts around 2-3k rpm and then goes back somewhat heavy on the gas.
