I've though about this a lot after going through last winter with 2 cars and my Z stuck sitting outside all winter :( I'm trying to move to San Diego or San Francisco in the next 2 years but if I don't I will likely be going the WRX STI route.

A hearse?
Nah. I'll probably just least that one  |

Also, I don't know about your winters, but a FWD car can do just fine, especially if you leave room for dedicated snow tires. For me, I also tire of having two vehicles. One sits outside, etc. I'm actually trading in my Eclipse for a lease on a Corolla later this week at a pretty decent OTD price/mo. For me, the Z has been a bump up in car price, and while I love the car and think I've gotten my money's worth, it also reminds me that I only drive it half a year and could do other things with the money saved had I done something else. No regrets, but it's a thought. I doubt I'll do my fun car this expensive ever again, and while the Z is no muscle car, it has given me enough of a power bump that I'm not sure I'll ever need to have something more than it. I do slightly wish I had gotten on the bandwagon earlier than later in the lifecycle, only because I now see the 350z/civic si drivers getting 370z and uglifying them. Honestly, my eyes would be on a new Miata or whatever Honda puts out for an s2k replacement, and maybe a solid crossover SUV or something as a DD. For now, I can't swing that as I'm still paying down the Z, but that's sorta my 5 year plan. I don't need child seats and none on the horizon, so...sedan is kind of a waste of money and material on me. Crossover at least lets me put down the rear seats and reap some value. As such, I can't much plan on what's out now being relevant in 5 years. Still, your list is pretty good; I would look at the Audi, BMW, Infiniti, and Lexus if I were in that list. The Caddy just doesn't do it for me. I'd also want to go slightly cheaper only so I can replace the ugly bits on the cars with AM parts or bolt-on mods to make them slightly more unique than the other 50 I see every day on the roads. |

Where do you live because they are popping up EVERYWHERE in Southern California, the dealers are giving them away because no one wants them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I want to see if I can fit my fat a$$ in a Z4. If I can shoehorn into it, I just might pick one up.

There is nothing before or after Z. Z is love. Z is life.
|
I'm on Z #2 but I could possibly see a situation in which I sell both my Z and my Honda Fit and get an IS-F.
But then again most likely I will just get a older Lexus GS next and go full VIP setup instead and keep my other 2 cars Quote:

I have only 3 cars in mind. A new Viper srt in orange. A lime green Aventador, or an alpha 16 gtr. I should have one of those some time in the future.

Already planned, I will do European Delivery on an M4 next year. All the reasons I didn't by an M3 previously have been addressed in the M4.
I'd also like to add that Nissan has completely lost me for now. I've bought new from them since 2004 a 350z, G37, GT-R, and 370z. Infiniti has completely lost their way with the G37/Q60 long in the tooth. Same with the 370z. Nissan has been so distracted with the Cube and Juke that the FR-S drove right up their tailpipe. |
There are a ton of cars I would love to own outside of the Z, but for looks and performance it's hard to beat at it's price range. Currently I'm hot on the Jaguar F-Type. Gorgeous car with good performance. I would like a little more luxury and am starting to get to the point of not caring for out of this world performance. I don't go to the track anymore, so it's been less of a need as of late. Otherwise the C7 is a pretty penny.
|
I will probably get the next Z if it turns out to have at least the same or better performance of the current 370Z or maybe the IDx Nismo if it gets respectable numbers. I won't get either in the first year though, I'll pick up one of those in their 2nd year after they iron out all the problems of the 1st year.

I still have the Z33 but sold the Z32 back in April. I also sold the LMGT4s unfortunately. Long story short, they ended up in storage with a friend in Japan. Someone offered me $3K and that was that. |
Only thing after the Z??...
If I could afford it... The GT-R. Until then. Only the Z. |
I'm keeping my z for a long time. But I definitely wanna see what the next gen z looks like. I've thought about some kind of audi for the next car though. I just love the looks of audis.

Back to a fuckin Lexus.

newer model Z
c6 vette OR 2013-14 mx5 hardtop convertible Club Edition. |
Probably a pick up truck so that I can go cut grass and make some monies - Like a good Mexican looking british lad should.

I still have no idea.
I KINDA want american muscle but then again I already am weary of driving my Z in the wet let alone a big 5.0+ V8...unless muscle handles rain better than a Z because of the weight. only problem in belgium is. dodge: pulled out of europe chevrolet: pulling out of europe in 2015 Ford: bringing out the mustang for the very first time in europe in 2015. I KINDA REALLY want a challenger but that would mean having to import one. I am also looking at a subaru WRX STI because AWD is kinda nice for rain and snow. parents sold their GT-R and are bringing it to its new owner tommorow. they still don't know what to get. currently the options are. a new 2014 GT-R, a jaguar F-type R(the 5.0 supercharged V8) or a corvette C7. I kinda totally want them to get the corvette since I am sick of the GT-R by now I have been staring at that GT-R for 5 years now. originally they were planning to go for a GT-R nismo but according to the dealership it might actually take a fricking 18 months to get here if unlucky. I am pretty sure that the dealership is just being a **** though. |
I wrecked my Z and got a 2009 z06
No regrets |
Ideally, a yellow C7 Z06 but given a choice between a house and a car, I'd choose a house.
|
C7, Tesla S P85, and Porsche 991 3.8 Carrera are my top choices.

Glad to hear you still have your Z33! |
Seems like my parents have decided on the 2015 ZO6 to replace their 2009 GT-R(which is already with it's new owner)
too bad it wont be out till like feb-april. but apparently there is a guy coming in with a AT C6 and my parents might buy that from the dealership till they recieve their Z06 and then sell it back. C7 is no real option since they don't want to drive stick anymore after the GT-R. belgium is a horrible country with 5 bajlion lights and traffic jams. its tiring to drive stick. hell I get tired driving our laguna and that is flimsy weak and easy to use clutch. let alone a sport clutch. The dealershpi already told us that if the C7 had AT it would of sold alot more since alot of people don't WANT MT anymore and apparently in the states the C6 AT sold double the amount of the MT option. on my replacement. I am still thinking about that WRX STI. but then again. it IS MT and my fiancé probably will get a AT only license here when she moves here so I STILL don't know what to do. should I be all "eh im gonna drive around with her all the time anyway" or just stick with the Z till subby wakes up and offers AT or I go herpy derp and get myself a new dodge RAM. haha me driving around that boat I would never park ever again. |
you still living with your parents? :ugh2:

does me talking about my parents mean I still live with them? IS THAT HOW IT WORKS???? YOU MOVE OUT AND YOU NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN like some gone in the wind ****. pretty hard to do that in a country where you can literally cross north to south in less than 2 hours.:roflpuke2: |
hey you finally moved out, congrats
|
2016 Focus RS if it comes out in the US!! Or STi if they come out with a hatchback. I'm looking into hot hatches to be able to go places with my two dogs, otherwise I'd be so down down for a next gen Z with some nice recaros.

Btw those with the deeper pockets and only looking at coupes, consider the cayman GT4. That thing is going to be killer... |
I bought an Si and am dreaming of retirement. The Honda is just a commuter car.

I would have traded into a 2015 Mustang GT, but I absolutely loathe the way they changed the body style to appease the international market...to me, it looks like they tried to design a BMW Mustang hybrid. I am hoping by the time I'm ready to trade the Z (assuming I don't completely fall in love with the Z and upgrade to Nismo or Roadster), Ford will have regained their senses and gone back to traditional mustang styling! |

I don't know guys but the C7 is beginning to call my bank account and saying "buy me... buy me please!" Lol. Only thing though, steering wheel feedback has always been a huge reason for my love of driving. These full-on electronic steering is ruining it for me though. The Z has a 4 degree dead spot in the steering from electronic assist, but you get 96% feedback from the hydraulic unit.
Other than that the corvette is a near-perfect machine. The upcoming Z06 is my real motivation. In a perfect world, I'd own a corvette Z06 as my RWD, GT-R as my AWD. Z as my daily, wrangler unlimited as my off-road bitch. Maybe have a bimmer M2 or M4 as an alternate daily? Lotto baby!!! Lol. |

untill the mah little san antonio girl moves to belgium in a month and half. 17 days and im in the states again. :happydance: so I made my choice. I am going for the subaru WRX STI. i test drove it again and that car gives you so much confidence man. i was doing turns 40% quicker than I would dare do with the Z and this was my second time driving it. still not used to the clutch. 7AT to 6MT is gonna be smelly. We are still going to keep the Z for like a half year though. we need a extra car because the GT-R is gone so my parents cant drive seperate and its annoying with our schedule. Kinda hoping my dad buys the Z from me so I can still drive it during the summer. parents are still pretty set on getting a Z06 but I have to make sure I push them abit in the direction of that one before they get lured in by a GT-R again :shakes head: |
1. HOUSE
then, to be realistic, and hopefully: 1. SLK55 AMG 2. Maserati's next coupe 3. Corvette 4. F-type 5. Lexus RCF 6. GTR |
