Anyone here consider purchasing one of these? While I love the Z, I am starting to realize that it is a very limited use vehicle, and while I wish and would like to pretend that I live most of the year somewhere warm the reality is that in Canada, where I live, we get snow from September until... well right now as I look out my window...

I'm thinking the FX might be a good balance of performance, luxury and all weather capability.

I've been on the fx forums a bit, not a huge following or fanbase over there. Curious if anyone else here owns one and what their thoughts are.

We had an FX35 and loved it. Nav, Bose, Heated Leather Seats, Panoramic SunRoof, etc..

Good gas mileage. 23-25hwy.. Nice sounding exhaust. We picked up an 05' 4 years ago with 56,000 for $13,900 and if it weren't for someone rear ending that car, we'd still have it today. I would only imagine that the bigger models are even nicer and more luxurious. However I just don't like their SUV model thats really low to the ground, not sure which model it is.

Also, the FX35x has AWD i believe

Thanks for the feedback. I drove the fx50 tonight. It does not perform as expected. I was really let down. I have driven an escalade which gives the illusion of being quicker. The escalade will downshift like nuts, 6th gear straight down to 2nd... And just howls. The Fx50 does not seem to allow the transmission downshift the same. It felt like it would only go down a gear or two. Very muted performance feel in my opinion.
