It looks really nice and eerily similar to the Lexus LS. I don't know though. I mean if you have the dough to buy a 60k car.....I'm sure another 10-15k isn't much more for the Lexus...

I think Hyundai should take things gradually. They should see if the Genesis can sell a lot of units first, prior to introducing this model.

$60K for a Hyundai....uhh, let's take it one step at a time.

But go Hyundai, the Genesis coupe is nice, but the 370 still trumps it.

While in Korea I saw a lot of these on the roads. One of my Korean friends said the owners mostly use it to get driven around in. Most be nice if they are plunking down that sort of cash to ride around in the back.

Meh it may end up like the Volkswagon Phaeton. It's a great car engineering standpoint but I had a friend pick one up used 6 months ago for 24,000$ and sticker price for that model was 80,000 in 2006.

Well at least this Hyundai doesn't look like a Passat.

I guess it's not too much different for 100K+ SL55's selling for 40K used.

It'll be very interesting to see just how well Hyundai is able to do in the coming years. With projected sales increase of 69% over last year they are confounding their competitors when everyone else is looking at how to stay alive or break even let alone make a profit. Nissan is looking at an overall 15% drop in sales this year over last.

I'll give Hyundai some credit. They have built a quite impressive car company here. But I'm sorry I would never pay 60k for one.

Same thing that was said about the GTR...Nissan is nutz I will go buy a ??? this instead. Then it was, where do I sign. I am not a fan of Hyundai, but we shall see what this vehicle is all about.

well that still works out for me, since I wouldn't buy a GTR lol.

I'd buy a GTR, but not this lol

edeeZee 09-01-2009 10:39 AM

^But GTR was formerly known as "Skyline," thus it already had a reputation built up. People had no doubts that it was worth every penny if not a steal for what it could do.

yeah there's a point, and a Hyundai still remains a Hyundai thus it already had a shitty reputation. People had no doubts that it's not worth a single penny and 60k is a steal for what this could do. :p

Hyundai still has a hangover on them
