Vivid Racing - What's In The Shop Today

As much as I would like to post big 370z builds its unfortunately not often the case in the shop. At the same time there is a whole lot of awesome coming in and out of the shop that keeps me jazzed up to roll out of bed and make my 4 minute commute every morning.

Pardon the poor pic quality, most of the updates will be a cell pic while I'm checking in on a customer's car or just gawking at things..

Here's some of the recent pics of randomness

Wow that ST is sick. Probably the best looking one I have seen, have you guys considering doing anything about the hood gap?

vividracing 01-17-2014 06:28 PM

I'm not sure we've looked into a solution for the gap yet.

dtul 01-17-2014 07:18 PM

I'm pretty sure all you do is tighten the rubber things under the hood. I was looking at the ST last year, and I don't remember the exact solution, but I think it was something really simple like that.

nope. There is a fixed plastic latch mechanism that needs to be ground down a bit or front bumper raised, I've seen both. The rubber bumpers won't change where the middle of the hood lines up and you have to also be careful of the hood to headlight gap when moving them. It's one of the most common beotches about the car.

tonythetiger 01-18-2014 11:35 AM

man seeing different types of cars coming in the shop, wished i had that job lol

Gotcha, I just remember someone on FocusST.org once mentioned they fixed most of their gap screwing the rubber bumpers down more, so I wasn't sure if that fixed the whole problem or not. That makes sense though, I remember reading that some people said they did some drilling too. I guess that is what they were referring to.
