nope. There is a fixed plastic latch mechanism that needs to be ground down a bit or front bumper raised, I've seen both. The rubber bumpers won't change where the middle of the hood lines up and you have to also be careful of the hood to headlight gap when moving them. It's one of the most common beotches about the car.

Gotcha, I just remember someone on FocusST.org once mentioned they fixed most of their gap screwing the rubber bumpers down more, so I wasn't sure if that fixed the whole problem or not. That makes sense though, I remember reading that some people said they did some drilling too. I guess that is what they were referring to.

Yep. Tried the rubber stopper fix on mine, no go. :(
