yah, it's good to have contrast, so i'd go a light tint.

:iagree: the new fit's look pretty good in person, the pictures they have of them do them no justice at all...in any case i would have stayed away from them with the amount of paint complaints that are coming in from owners of new fit's on the fit forum...at least for the first model year. otherwise, i am very happy with my Note :)

You sure it's a good idea to tint your tails? I just hope your light output isn't greatly diminshed.

+1 about the new Fit, it's whatever. I am very happy with my Japanese made GE

kenchan 09-24-2014 01:03 PM

a light tint is okay. had my wife step on the brake pedal and compared my '12 vs my 09' during the day and night. not much of a difference. :D

and the wife said the 09 threw a code again today. :shakes head: will scan it later. i think the thermostat is dead.. not closing entirely.

His are pretty dark, I just don't want him to get pulled over :icon14:

kenchan 09-24-2014 03:38 PM

yah, he mentioned he's going to redo them though.

yeah, i took them off already for now..mainly the reason they came out dark is cause i had to go over them multiple times due to the damn wind in huntington beach blowing away all the spray even in an area that was pretty much blocked off from that happening...hopefully this weekend the weather cooperates though and i can get them done properly :) ...im pretty sure i'm gonna finish off the rear by getting the little black cargo tray protector for the back so i can at least break up the sea of monotone color back there lol

kenchan 09-24-2014 04:24 PM

yah, it's hard enough to get an even tint + wind will make it challenging for sure.

have you checked any overlays? i forgot where i got mine from but it was pre-cut.

Waiz 09-24-2014 05:23 PM

Would definitely suggest a lighter overlay instead

I can relate to your wind problems since I live close to the ocean too #firstworldproblems

Better photo of the front of Mike's car

He neglects to inform that he added a red pinstripe to the cars front sides and rear, and got the roof wrapped in gloss black vinyl
