What if 370z or GTR didn't exist...
 

What would you get instead? Similar price and year to what you have...

No Nissan? Are you talking Z or GTR price? If hitting the 100k and it has to be new would look at Porsche 911 turbo. Hey, you asked. Corvewtte & Viper would be good muscle. I really don't see why the GTR cost 100k at all.

If the Z did not exist then I might have turned to MG and been warped forever about how troublesome sports cars are. Then grown-up and become a full blown adult.

Almost correct. RX7. In 1979 I wanted an XKE but was content with an MGB. By 1981 I had my '78 280Z and had lost all illusion about British (until I got an XKE). The Miata did not appear for a few years and then they commanded a price above asking, like $16K. The 280Z was $7K.

i was actually considering a used g35 before i came on this forum and fell in love with the 370z. so probably a g35.

Nothing really as nice in the price range.

Guess I'd have kept my SRT4 and maybe saved up a bit for an AMG C63 in a few years or something.

Probably a Supra, who knows...maybe they would of been continued if Z didn't exist.

I may have ended up in an RX-7 with a lot more money to throw in for mods :ugh2: or a lot less if the engine continued to blow up... That body style though... :yum:

I had three different 1G DSMs in my early 20s but never modded them more than intake/exhaust. I wouldn't mind finding one and modding it in the way I always wanted.

GTR is overpriced. It looks like a normal *** car. And if you know nothing about cars you will see right past it. 100k for that **** is ridiculous!!

Over priced? It's performance is off the charts for a fraction of the price of most super cars.

The same thing can be said about the C6 Z06 and atleast it looks like a sport car. Even if you didn't know **** about cars youd know it meant business. The GTR you'd prolly look right past. And its cheaper. The 370z would get plastered by it but it looks a lot better. I wish they made an awd 370z so that I could keep the sports car look

Lol what charts you looking at?? The z1 can't even hang and its also a 100k car.

It still looks like a modded maxima aka the box. Everybody admits to that lol. Its a beast I know that. But its looks like an average joe!! And that's what gets me!! I mean the 370z looks so much sexy!! The zr1 is 100k looks like a beast and performance like one. It will pull the gtr. The z06 will also pull it looks like a beast and is much cheaper.

People on enthusiast forums have very narrow focus.

If you are going to have super performance have super design. GTR just has no style. Would rather cruise out in my Ferrari 328 than beat a GTR in a drift.
