2014 Silverado Issues.... already.

So a little back info. I signed the papers on a 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ with all the bells and whistles 15 days ago(July 21st). I traded in my 2009 370Z in on it, so I told them a I needed a few days to get all the parts off of the car before trading it in(intake, exhaust, coilovers, rims, system, sway bars, etc, etc, etc).

So fast forward to that wednesday(July 24), I pick the truck up and everything. Well I put it in reverse and go to pull out of the lot and the check engine light comes on. I was PISSED. Long story short,it was throwing code P0300 and something else so they replaced the injectors and the IPDM. It was a BRAND NEW TRUCK. Not even 10 miles on it. I get over that and chalk it off as **** happens.

I pick the truck up last monday (July 29th) right before they closed. I drive it home and it drives great for a week.

This morning(August 5th) I crank the truck to head to work. BAM. Check engine light is on, the truck is shaking so bad you can see it rocking back and forth. I turn the truck off and call my dealer. They arranged for a flat bed tow. Well I crank it up again to pull it out of the driveway to load on the flatbed and I notice the check engine light is flashing and the traction control light is on. The oil pressure is at 60psi and there is the faintest hint of white smoke. The truck is still rocking back and forth like crazy. We get the truck on the flat bed and I notice that in the rear there is a ton of water dripping from the exhaust(not the tailpipe, but the last section where it has the square resonator section). Upon further inspection it looked as though it was leaking from that resonator(again NOT out of the tailpipe)(I have ran the AC twice so its not condensation or anything). There was a black "oil like" streak around where it was leaking. The "water" was a tad milky and faintly smelled "sweet." It was dripping so much that it puddled on the flat bed.

The truck was dropped off this morning at 9:20 and I have yet to hear a diagnosis. I called up there twice today and asked if they have even pulled the codes and they still haven't. The service department is closed today so I will be calling first thing in the morning.

I just bought a $50k truck and I COULDN'T EVEN DRIVE IT OFF THE LOT. I am beyond pissed.

Wow, Very sorry to hear of the issues with the Truck :(

Hopefully it gets resolved quickly, And you can start enjoying it.

I would let them know you'll be in touch with the Local media or Lawyer to HELP YOU if they either don't repair it right or replace it.

Keep us posted :ugh2:

:shakes head: sorry to hear man

I can commiserate. I had to drive my brand new Z back to the dealership on the spare tire less than 30 minutes after driving it off the lot due to dealer incompetence (they left one of the tire's pressure real high after beading - I warmed the tires up a bit and it bubbled like a football).

Thanks G. I am opening a case with GM in the morning. I'm going to demand a new truck. If its having this many problems now just imagine down the road...

Make sure you take the truck back to stock... IE the black bow tie. Also do you still want to do the deal with the navtool.?

Q: Why are there sidewalks beside streets?

A: So Chevy owners have a safe place to walk home.
