How many are planning to eventually move to a GTR?
Me,i plan to save till 2015 and get one,the car is just a beast,i cannot imagine anything that even comes close to the performance of this car for 100K.
2 recent videos i watched. Jay lenos review of the SP engineering GTR and the documentary on National Geographic on the GTR The car is EPIC,and i want one just not ready yet,was close to pulling the trigger on a 09 with 20k miles, just didnt want to pay $70k for a car that is out of warranty, will just save another 30k and buy new and not have worries of any issues. I plan to stop thinking about but its just too hard. I need to move on with my life :( |
I am actually but not till about 10 years from now. I have my boys that I'll have to purchase vehicles for (they will not go past 60). Then hopefully I'll be able to trade in both my vehicles and get myslef a GTR and whatever the wife would like (I'm praying that she wants a used Prius).

Nope.
|
AWD is not for me.
|
auto tranny is not for me. I'd rather have a Z06, even if it is slower.

I've eaten up a few fellow Charger guy & girls because they didn't use the manual shift or even known it can go into Sport mode! It's alot mental when going fast... |
Ide rather buy a house and a used z06. When I see gtr in the Nissan show room i stare at th z"s more

I'm not trying to tell anyone else what to buy, it's my own personal bias. |
Nope. No overweight sedans in my plans
|
In the long run if you don't do a great box tranny auto is what I would prefer especially when pushing 700+ hp

I meant to say it's alot less mental when no clutch is present... |
I think I will always stick with manual, rwd cars. I appreciate the GTR but its not for me.
|
No plans here. I admire the GTR but it doesn't do anything for me. On the other hand, I love everything about the Z and I can't help going to the garage to sneak another peek. I've never considered the Z second class or a stepping stone toward a GTR.
|
GTR is great but a little much for me.
I love my Z, I plan on keeping her for a few years then see what's available. Maybe the new supra or most likely a 911... You never know, In a few years, GTR might not be as good as it is now comparatively |
Nope, will pay my house off first!
|
I'd love a GTR. However, my concern is the running cost. I believe it costs an arm and leg to maintain.

Only if it was an R34. The R35 just doesn't do it for me.
|
A 2014 or 2015 GTR is in my future. Unfortunately, I won't be keeping my Z. But my dad will still have his Z, so we'll have the best of both worlds between the two of us.
Here's my current background and daily motivation. http://www.boostlogic.com/blog/wp-co...tLogic-GTR.jpg |
you need to wait for the 15. its getting substantial changes
|
waiting for next gen Z.
|
I'm hoping to keep my Z also. The wife is going to complain about not being to be able to park in the garage but that's no girls allowed anyway! Lol
|
I think I would rather restore or purchase a classic auto next... maybe a 66 vette or an old Aston....
|
Man an Aston would be awesome but very expensive especially for authentic parts.
|
For the price of a GTR, it would be comparable....!

I would love a GTR however there is no way in hell I will be getting one at this point in life. Too expensive of a car for me. Im still relatively young (24) and getting married this year. Just bought a house in Nov and am looking to start a family within the next 3-5 years. Its not in the plans for me anytime soon lol.
|
The GTR is a purpose built car that suits a certain demographic. Either you are comfortably wealthy, or you drive for a hobby/profession. Middle American households generally have higher priority purchases than 100k sedans. If money is no object, then why stop there? I would have to consider several cars if 100k was my ball park!
I love the GTR for what it is, but alas it is not for me. |

Hahahahahaaaaaaaa.... JK, i just found that hilarious.:rofl2: There are too many hot cars coming out to know what i will get next. But in general i would luv a GTR. |
I wish I could even have the thought of moving to an $80-100k car in the near future. Honestly I probably will never own one that expensive, and if I do, I'll likely go with a Porsche 911 Turbo (I'm a Porsche fanboy) or better.
But like I said, that's probably 20+ (maybe 40+) years from now, unless I hit the lottery, then it's game f*cking on. |
By the time I'll be ready to buy a GTR, the next gen one will probably be released and I will be able to
A. Buy R36 GTR B. Buy outgoing R35 (for cheaper) C. Buy something else I love the GTR and it's definitely one of the best cars out right NOW, but in 5 years... who knows what the auto enthusiast market will look like. |
If I’m going exotic I’m going Ferrari. I know the GTR is a beast but it’s not my style.
|
I'm not sure I'd call the GTR exotic.

lol Man Some of you guys are such drama queens. The car weight's to much. OMG it's AWD, OMG it's not a 6 speed it wont be fun... seriously? Yea we all have opinion's and this is a forum but damn. OP ask For how many of us ar planning to move to a gtr not how many dont plan on getting one. OP I will be one of those ppl. A used 2010 GTR. When ever i can find one for 50k with 20 to 30,000 miles. Already have money saved for GTR SBD700 kit 3,999! Ill trade in the Z as it will be paid off and ill have a reasonable car payment just like now and can still save for a house and stuff. No kids and im only 24 so. GTR see you soon. And im pretty sure in one or two years a 600 AWHP GTR will still be a top dog car in the streets. Cheers!
|
i will eventually get one... when im tired of shifting the MT.
