Most importantly, how do I get that guy's job?

You get to school at a design College. They are very hard to get into. There is a very well known one on the west coast, I don't remember the name. Lots of manufacturers hire their graduates.

Outside of Ford only a few people know the new design.
They have kept it very much under tight security, other than the mule cars that seem to show off new suspension, engine setups we do not know much more.
