I don't care how fast they make the Nissan juke that is easily one of the most ugly cars on the road. Just seeing that parked In Nissans showroom is borderline embarrassing.

We sold: 13,500 in 09 10,300 in 10 5700 in 11 5500 in 12 Im not sure if the 13 will brake the 5000 mark. lol But most enthusiast cars are selling low. And honestly Camaro's and mustangs are NOT enthusiast cars. They are highly marketed, advertised and imprinted in the minds of americans to believe they are the epitome of the sports experience. When you're a kid. You don't know what an Rx7 is till you're 11 or 12. But you know what a mustang and camaro is when you're 3 or 4 years old. We grow up. If we don't know dyck about cars. But want something affordable and sporty. We will know 2 names. Camaro and mustang. Tjhats why they sell. Performance means something to 20,000 out of 200,000 buyers. Why you think most stangs on the road are v6. anfd 75% of Gt's and SS's sell because of the monitary value behind them. Not performance or technology. Many of us here are a 1%'ers brother. We love sports cars to the point of obsession. Others are here to either be a part of something and they thought owning a car would help that? Or they are haters... The Z doesn't advertise because Nissan expects us to know. They just hope the cars styling will speak for themselves in getting extra custy's. It worked with the Z33 cuz the economy was great and car loans were easy to get. Now the economy sucks and loans are hard to get. You're broke but a 23k stang is easier to buy than a $34k Z. And knowing how shallow many are. Most americans want to buy the SS and GT because 4 neighbors have the v6 models. They wish they could afford the GT and here you go bursting their bubble with being the v8 guy on the block who can dust all the V6 posers. Lets keep it real. Only a handful of guys buy stangs for performance. And when they do. They're looking at two models. The Boss302 and the shelby GT500 baby paw. After those two, your buying a powerful commuter with kewl gadgets and BS. |

I love that concept, super hot looking.

Not sure where you are getting that from Unknown. Lots of people buy the Gt knowing its a great starting point and can kill a boss easily. I have no interest in the boss since I'd rip the dampers out the second I got it... And I wouldn't want to mod a car I paid a premium to have modded for me by the factory.
But yeah... The Mustang/camaro are definitely enthusiast cars just as much as the Z is. Lots of people by this car for looks/status over performance/heritage too. For every one enthusiast driver there are 10 others that don't care about anything else other than looks/status/etc. |
Looks pretty hard, more indications Nissan needs to step up their game for this next z!! I'm pretty excited regardless the more options the better
|
If Ford's new cars are any indication, it will have a more Aston like look.....which is definitely a good thing

But the market isnt comprised of enthusiasts buying those cars. Some enthusiasts will buy Gt's in there affordability range due to the Ford racing factor, but overall those cars dont sell for being enthusiast cars... Period. It's more of an american heritage thing and thats a false sense of enthusiasm. To me an enthusiast really knows what they have and enjoyb the car for more reasons than factory location and social acceptance. Most stang and camaro owners know they have a fast v8. thats it. Thats the truth |

Anyway, Ford is awesome. Nissan is awesome. The juke looks cool. The mustang is fast. Chevy volts and 90s italian cars like to burst into flames. Never eat sushi in Utah. Am I missing something here? Oh yeah, the GTR is a technical marvel that most of us will never own, and by the time half of us can afford it, none of the japanese techno wizardry is going to work anymore. From now on, if yall want to continue this thread, lets discuss the merits of the two companies, venues of positive improvement, and just be happy feely because although its entertaining. I know what happens if this kind of bickering goes on here at the370z.com Also Steve will school you. EDIT: IBTL |

Actually, I like it but in GT-R form :D |
Well when the mods get off work they will just lock this thread right up. It's run its course, as they like to say.

You're just disagreeing cuz you don't like the way i worded it, but in fact you're agreeing the the stang enthusiasts are a community. not the stang population of buyers. |
You need to work in politics man, do you just grab numbers out of mid-air?
Oh yeah, f your Zs and Mustangs, the Cube is awesome!!!! It was one of the better bargains for the price. |

We can agree to disagree. I don't value the AWD and the turbo at a $7000 premium.
