Why is Nissan so uptight?

So im leaving the army soon and will have $50k to blow plus be making 3x as much as i do in the army. So i been hovering around the idea of getting a GTR, R34 GTR (when they become avalible to import) or a Viper ACR. Went to the Nissan dealership and looked at a 2013 GTR black edition. They want $118,000 and 5.9% interest. So we sat down and talked about the down payment, which i was going to put $40,000 down, maybe trade my Evo in as well. I asked if its possible to budge on the price of the GTR. They said no, due to it being a top end car they cant budge on the price, interest or any deals. I asked since i was a previous buyer from them and in the army, will they make any sort of deal. Once again, no. Total bs. I went to a dodge dealership and looked at a brand new 2009 Viper ACR going for $110,000. With me currently in the military, 40k down and no trade in, they brought it down to $90,000 with 3.5% interest. The Viper ACR is just as much of a top end car as the GTR is and they were willing to knock off 20k for me. Nissan is ******..lol.

the viper had an extra 20k built into the asking price. the gtr didn't.

It isn't that difficult.

Lol, kinda

At the same time, they DON'T need you to buy a GTR... Sorry, we all want money, but they DGAF about who's money...

Also, they don't want people to finance the GTR, go in with $110 cash, maybe you'll take it

You have 50K to "blow"? Maybe a house first? If not then I would get the Viper. I like the 09 ACR better than the new Viper.

And honestly Snakes709, IDK why you hang around this forum anyways, you are always bashing Nissan and the 370z, especially over in the Evo forum.

Moving into a town house with a double garage at the end of the month which will do me until i choose to move back to the east coast. I never bashed Nissan on this or any other forum. I just stated the 370z wasnt what i wanted/needed and theres alot of things i didnt like about it. The GTR still has things i dont like (VDC and being automatic) but being AWD i would still consider buying it.

Yea i guess i agree with that, but at the same time the dodge dealership didnt care if i financed it. They still lowerd the cost. The terms for both cars were 24 months as well. So financing for 2 years isnt that big of a deal.

You went to 1 dealer? It isn't Nissan, its the dealer. I would suggest going to multiple dealers, then play them off each other to get the best price.

Uhhhh... That's not Nissan. That's an independently owned dealership, who decided they didn't want to move.

My suggestion... try another dealership. Who were you dealing with on the initial deal? If it was a GoAuto dealer... yeah, I can see them not moving. They don't need your business on that car. They easily sell all they get, so why would they move?

Btw, congrats on you leaving the military!

wait for the new corvette :)

Yea i was thinking the same thing. It was ericksen nissan i went to, so go figures they came up with some bs. Is shearwood park nissan owned by goauto?

My buddy is trying to convince me to getting a R34 GTR when they become avalible, which i think is next year iirc. R34 GTS can be imported now but they started the GTR production a year later.

And thanks, i finally had enough of the bs with the army and with the budget cuts and the fact that my unit can afford fuel for our trucks/tanks. I thought it was best to leave. Thankfully I got a job already lined up. Depending on which apprenticeship i take, ill be making $150k a year within the next year or so. Also gotta love how i get offerd a program when i get out of the army that pays 100% of the apprenticeship. I'll most likely keep my Evo and use it as a DD. Then whatever car i get, have it for the track. I'm really starting to lean towards a R34 GTR. I want AWD + stick and clutch, so i think thats my best option. Not to mention it will cost a hell of alot less and whatever money i have left i can throw it into RSP's.

He's in Canadia, lol (fellow Canadian)

I assume he's importing it there considering their laws are more relaxed

We've got 10 year to go to import them into the states...
