Not good.

I think the 370z sport needs to be on here. It's 150lbs lighter, the 9/10 staggers are perfect for track vs the 9.5/10.5 borderline overkill for taking corners. And the sport Z should be equipped with RE-11's. Since Nissan keeps hiking the prices on the Z for almost no reason. The least they coulda done was upgrade the stock tires.
Z suspension is easily improved cheaply. Unfortunately though. That can't be done for the lightning lap. The Z potential is much higher than whats on paper here. The Nismo is overkill for this type of tracking.

Car & Driver used to be my favorite car mag. I think it sucks now and the writers can't drive for ****!

I am not sure why you are giving JungleZ any airspace. I have not seen 1 worthy contribution from him on any conversation in this site. And responding to him just rehashes the same arguments on 50 million other threads while hijacking those threads. Useless.

Car comparisons are fun for about 5 minutes. After that, it really boils down to personal preference. If you love owning your Z, great, that is why you are on this forum. If you hate owning your Z, state it once, we all get the picture, then move on. If you don't, then you are just a miserable sod who has to deal with owning a car you hate.

I am actually a Porsche Fan Boy but I can take a car for what is worth and enjoy it. I never buy a car with out researching it. I knew what I was getting into well before I bought the Z.

Edit: After a year and a half and 28k miles I still love my Z.

Interesting read.

The only thing that separates the guy with all the charts and the leaser's remorse guy is how they go about trolling.

One has way too much time on his hands and the leaser's remorse guy, well that guy just might have a learning disability I'm afraid.

At the end of the day they both can't move beyond trying to mash the square peg into the round hole.

The z is a moderately priced sports coupe with a moderately compromised design and flaws that come with that approach. Not that hard a concept to get.

Too much time on my hands? I guess so. Airports are a boring place.

If pointing out that home-made facts don't hold up to scrutiny is trolling, then I guess I'll take my trolling trophy and trollololololol my way home

I don't have any problem with the Z, I just find it ridiculous when people say things like:

It's probably closer to early stage BMW i-Drive and in need of serious refinement, but that sounds hard.

Jungle on the other hand...I'm convinced he loves the Z and just likes hearing other people say nice things about it. His dislikes are too inconsistent to be real. It's really a genius strategy when you think about it:icon17:

@Red_Zed. I didn't call you out so don't get mad at me. And that quote you posted, when and where is that from? Seems old and from another thread.

Is the price a big step up? Because the performance vs the z has always been about the price difference, and the Z has always come out on top in bang-for-the-buck. By the time you finish optioning a Cayman S, the damned thing is probably $80 grand or something.

At that point, all I would think about would be 'Stingray' :yum:

I cant speak for cornering G's slaloms braking cause I don't really feel like looking them up (maybe Red_Zed can) but straight line performance is about the same with the new Cayman S maybe being a tad faster. But like you said the car starts at $72,900 and just gets more expensive.

It STARTS at 72,900 now? Haha, when you option it, expect to pay about $90K then.

It's just the reputation of RZTS that makes everyone think you're trollolololing all the time.

What you said is true to a point anyway. But its only flawed in the sense that you didnt explain the Porsche is much better at the limit. and is a faster, more responsive car in the triple digits, that also possesses a higher top speed.

But this is a Z forum. We don't have to explain porsche's prowess if we dont want to...

I love Porsche's. I own a Z based on Nissan's quest to rival out a poor mans porsche...

But in this case... You know what? Fvck Porsche.

There, I said it. Lets move on. :roflpuke2:
