The ZL1 did its best pass in 12.38 seconds at 114.5 mph, while the GT500 turned the quarter-mile in 11.78 seconds at 125 mph. So there you have it, Ford beats Chevy. But like we said, drag racing is about more than time slips.
I think everyone knew that was coming

You quoted the one line I was laughing at when I read that. No offense, but drag racing is about time slips. You either are fast or not, yes GM did a good job building a car that is smooth and can be some what quick and blah blah blah, but at the end of the day, they lost.

I completely agree... Seems like the reviewers like the Chevy more, which is fine but its one of those things "O ya the Mustang is quicker in a straight line but its not all about how quick it is"

...What...?

By half a second, at that!

Doesn't sound like much, but in drag racing, that's huge.

Then again, this is all paper racing, and both of those cars would smoke me in my Z.

Different class of cars too.

I wish Nissan would come out with a high performance Z

Its true. Because Drag racing has nothing to do with time slips, Al's seats would win, win in comfort and style
