Question Question about Stillen

So after researching exhaust systems for my altima, the stillen exhaust has the most non riced out sound of them all.

But as i have heard from my customers. Not all is well with Stillen. They will be your friend when you buy but if you ever have a problem they are the worst to deal with.

Anyone confirm/deny this? Should I go ahead with stillen or look else where. I only plan to do my exhaust one time and one time only.

From experience I would skip stillen. After they receive your money you're on your own
Customer service terrible and most of their products they rush out have fitment problems and or underperform stated gains

Well, I have a lot of Stillen products, my CBE exactly for the reason you want it, the least ricey... I will say that once Stillen has your money their customer service isn't bad, it's just non-existent... I was in touch with Steve Millen's son and another guy to buy an oil cooler and to solve a problem I was having with one of their products, and they both stopped replying after 2 days of emails going back and forth... In my opinion, buy one of their used CBE's there are one or 2 on the forum now, and I'm pretty sure the seals are reusable...
And then call it a day with Stillen... Maybe get their G3 intakes, but only get them used, and if you have figment issues or any other problem, consult the forum... Don't waste your time contacting them... (I didn't have firmest problems with either their intakes or exhaust, in fact the exhaust fitted great, but I wished the intake tubes were a BIT longer where they bolt on to the intake plenum)

I have had good support from Stillen, but if you are worried about customer service after the sale, just buy it from a shop like Z1 instead. If there were any problems, they could get it taken care of for you, but there probably won't be any problems. Its not like its a new design or anything.

I refuse to by stillen products.... customer service stories steered me away and if you can't count on the company you buy from to back you up, then why support them?

Default My bad... Didn't see that

I also thought maybe the OP has a 3.5, but the part numbers aren't the same... Not 100% sure about the y-pipe fitment though... though

Its a 2.5L, never mind!!! But if you find some cat delete pipe on eBay that's made by Racingline in Canada, their products are legit and made very well at a reasonable price!

I'm sure if he was able to get an Altima to FI, they would put one together. I wonder if anyone from an Altima forum has approached FI.

Are we talking about the Altima Sedan, or the Altima Coupe?

With Stillen I've found that you are best off going through the sales people since they are the ones that pick up the phone. They are always prompt to get back to me and support me with any crazy questions I might have. When I had a defective stud with my spacers they promptly sent me a replacement without hassle. If you have feedback for the managers they are usually ready to listen.

Me too. I think your view of Stillen is grossly wrong. A wonderful company to deal with. I had a few issues that got straightened out very fast. AND, I was given Stillen bucks as their apology.

But to each their own. You'll only get out of them what you give. What I mean is, there are some that expect the moon from every company out there. There is such a thing as unreasonable expectations. IMHO, the things you're hearing about Stillen are some of those. And the Internet can exaserbate this issue.
