:icon18:There's always one, but that's ok I was routinely unimpressed with 350z during my entire tenure as a 370z owner.

I was a bit hesitant about the color but I read somewhere so was the Lotus President at the time until he saw it and you know what that point is true. It looks great in person but the comment about it being the same color as an old prom tux is accurate :tiphat:. Many aero add on's were done such as the canards and front splitter, I haven't really pushed it past 100 but it feels so smooth and stable I'm almost caught off guard waiting for something crazy to happen. The car redlines between 8000-8500 depending on what gear and temps, it has a Lotus sport exhaust so it sounds good (nowhere near as loud as a 370z with LTH and a Meisterschaft :shakes head:). The best part is that power can be increased relatively cheaply but I think I'll leave it as is for at least this summer.

Its no Z, which is both a good and bad thing but I am happy with this next step. I wish I had known things would work out like this maybe I would have managed to keep the Z. All in all I'll be back in a Z assuming Nissan keeps the trend going and makes the next gen Z as good as the 370z is.

Awesome choice, saw an caravan of 8 Lotus's passing me yesterday and the Exige was my favorite of the bunch

I also really like your color choice, it will definitely set you apart from the pack.

Side note - I hope you took taxes into account with your recent cash discoverey otherwise Uncle Sam is going to be coming for his cut at the end of the year :icon17:

NYBladeZ 04-29-2012 11:18 AM

Lol I did, Uncle Sam and I don't have any issues and I'd like to keep it like that. Two things I try to live by, don't piss off your wife or the IRS. The wife misses the Z, hopefully when the dust settles I can see if she'd be interested in a 350z or a used 370z or maybe a G so she can drive her friends around as well but it'll be awhile.

Kingbaby 04-29-2012 03:11 PM

Don't get butthurt! Lol

I said that cause I can't fit in it!

Going from a Z I would of got a Z06/Viper gts

NYBladeZ 04-29-2012 03:32 PM

lol yeah my best friend can't fit either, Viper GTS maintenance was a turn off and its not fun to drive, maybe its that gearbox they took from a truck. Z06 is fast as hell but its everywhere. One day I'll try to do a 240sx build and throw an LS in there, since that is the best part of the car.

GaleForce 04-29-2012 05:52 PM

You made the right choice. I would much rather have the Lotus than a Viper or Z06. Horsepower isn't everything.

NYBladeZ 04-29-2012 06:28 PM

Thanks dude, definitely no regrets on this one.

mhcoss 04-29-2012 11:02 PM

much as i love sports cars... i gotta start makin some investments with my spare money!

N8GTOL 04-29-2012 11:24 PM

I would go for the lotus or a CTS-V

NYBladeZ 04-29-2012 11:25 PM

;) yeah I went with the Lotus. A CTS-V sounds good when I have a family to haul around and the Camry dies.

wilsonp 04-29-2012 11:35 PM

I would have gone for the Cayman (or maybe Evora), but I prefer a daily driver to a weekend warrior.

Have fun and take it on the track!

Sibze 04-30-2012 08:36 AM

m4a1mustang 04-30-2012 08:44 AM
