Why would you want a 66 Shelby Cobra 427?! the 2013 shelby gt500 is way more powerful, cheaper to own, and it has a roof!

Why would you want a skyline GTR when you can just get the GTR?! its about the same price if not cheaper, way more powerful, and it has a roof. Plus it drops all that skyline nametag with all that history and heritage, which is really dead weight and needs to countered with Eddie Hardy air fresheners so the skyline name doesn't affect performance. Plus its LHD! and it has a roof! Why collect any old car for that matter. Get with the times.

I only collect FUTURE vehicles

Edit: I feel like an @$$, just realized OP was saying if nissan started producing them again. Thats just stupid. Not ever going to happen(in the next 5 years). just get one of the old ones.

No way Nissan would ever reintroduce the R34 to the US market, but for the sake of this arguement, I wouldn't buy one. I'd want one, but wouldn't buy it, if that makes any sense. It's an older platform, but it was/is a technically advanced car filled with computer wizardry. I doubt it would be any easier to own than a new R35. They are totally different animals, no doubt, but each ease of ownership is going to depend on the owner. As advanced as the R35 is, at the end of the day, its still a car with an internal combustion engine. All the rules of upgrading and tuning are relatively unchanged. I would rather go farther back into the Nissan archives and resurrect the classic, old school Z's or Skylines.
