If nissan reintroduced the R34 would you buy it?!
Like the title says... would you purchase a R34 if nissan decides to reintroduce it but redesigned it a bit to fit the american market. Ex: switching it to left hand drive rather than the right hand drive like the rest of the world.
I definitely would and I think nissan should reintroduce some of their old cars. |
umm, wouldn't that be like Nissan reintroducing the Z33??

No questions well besides price. R34 GTR was like 60K.
In the mean time, im waiting for 2014! when the R32 GTR will become legal to import under the 25 year clause (build dates in 89) |

No sir, I would rather wait for my R36 ;)
|
Ummm. No.
Why would you? |
LoL
|
Uh... no.

Even if it is a terrible idea, I think they should still at least sell an updated shell where people can piece together there own car like what ford does.

people already import them as kit cars in a bunch of pieces and some states let you register them as "kit" cars.

Why would you want a 66 Shelby Cobra 427?! the 2013 shelby gt500 is way more powerful, cheaper to own, and it has a roof!
Why would you want a skyline GTR when you can just get the GTR?! its about the same price if not cheaper, way more powerful, and it has a roof. Plus it drops all that skyline nametag with all that history and heritage, which is really dead weight and needs to countered with Eddie Hardy air fresheners so the skyline name doesn't affect performance. Plus its LHD! and it has a roof! Why collect any old car for that matter. Get with the times. I only collect FUTURE vehicles  Edit: I feel like an @$$, just realized OP was saying if nissan started producing them again. Thats just stupid. Not ever going to happen(in the next 5 years). just get one of the old ones. |
No way Nissan would ever reintroduce the R34 to the US market, but for the sake of this arguement, I wouldn't buy one. I'd want one, but wouldn't buy it, if that makes any sense. It's an older platform, but it was/is a technically advanced car filled with computer wizardry. I doubt it would be any easier to own than a new R35. They are totally different animals, no doubt, but each ease of ownership is going to depend on the owner. As advanced as the R35 is, at the end of the day, its still a car with an internal combustion engine. All the rules of upgrading and tuning are relatively unchanged. I would rather go farther back into the Nissan archives and resurrect the classic, old school Z's or Skylines.
