Also, I prefer to give the car 100% of my attention 100% of the time that I am driving. Generally a good idea. :icon17:

Traction control... I don't need no stinkin' traction control! :bowrofl:

Maybe you had some rudimentary tread left. Even a couple of mm can make a big difference. Mine were pretty much racing slicks by the time i changed them.
The back end would get twitchy and nervous easily over any standing puddles of water. The tires pretty much looked like this (except the steel belts weren't exposed yet)

I understand what you're saying. Bottom line is you need to adapt to the conditions and drive accordingly. An ACR would only prove troublesome in the rain if the driver was an idiot.

It's that pesky little thing that keeps you from ending up like this

I agree. But that doesn't change my point that an ACR is a street legal track car, NOT a road car. There's a difference between the two. Cars like the ACR and GT3RS are primarily meant to be driven on a track. They are street legal just to save the owners the cost of towing them to the track basically.

So to compare the lap time of an ACR with a 911 Turbo for example is illogical and doesn't make sense.

Well, technically, since it can be driven on the road, it IS a road car. I mean, I'm crazy enough to where if you gave me one I'd drive an ACR daily. :icon17:

But yes, I totally understand your point. ACR vs. Porsche 911 Turbo doesn't really make sense.
