What Do GM's Troubles Mean for the Corvette?

OK.. I'm starting to understand you sentences... LOL The wrightspeed x1 will go any distance. Just because it's battery powered doesn't mean it's not going to make a 3000 mile

The wrightspeed x1 will go any distance. Just because it's battery powered doesn't mean it's not going to make a 3000 mile trip. It's not a track-day only car at all. I could drive it as a daily just as easily as a Z06... And probably easier.

There's still plenty of cars out there that will fit the bill. The LS7 is a maxed out motor without forced induction. The ZR-1 is a better car, IMO, because it's a smaller displacement but with FI. A car with 600+ HP wouldn't have a problem hooking up if it has the right tires. Street tires are the only tires you have issues on. My car club has a few 600+hp cars that roll around on Drag Radials. They still spin tire a little bit, but who said racing was all about mashing the gas? Still takes a degree of control even to go straight. My N/A 300zx will cross the 1/4 mile with me driving it before a kid that can't drive crosses the 1/4 mile driving a 500HP car. Likely they'll spin tire all the way down the track and NEVER hook.

GM makes some cars OK and some cars like crap. But to get a car that's made well, you have to pay $50K+. Honestly, I don't understand that at all. You can buy a Nissan with awesome build quality for 30K and it will perform quite well, come with the option Navigation (as GM only offers that in trucks and $50K+ cars), and comes with more standard features.
