I still think the Z will outpace the Gen Coupe, even with the power bump . The Nismo afterall, also has 350 hp and not that much faster than a non-Nismo Z. Granted Hyudai is claiming 295 lb-ft of torque (pretty big jump by the way) could make things interesting. The weight advantage isn't that much compared to the Z since the Gen Coupe weighs roughly 3,400 lbs.

If you dump the numbers in an online calculator, the Z and the Genesis come up dead even on 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. Being lighter will help the Z a bit in the handling department, all other things being equal.

I wonder if the rear quarter glasses will fall out of these like the old model did. LOL
All hating aside, it's ugly. :-P |

It's an interesting look. Kinda sucks that the turbo version jumped so much in power; it's like a burn for the guys that bought the older car...
|
They should write to Hyundai North America and demand a retrofit. It's a sports car, it should have come with a turbo to begin with :stirthepot:

It did, they just got bs power to match that turbo - 210hp versus the ~270 now. |

I'm excited with all these power boosts from different companies as Nissan will undoubtably up the game for the next gen Z.
Has anyone else read the insane specs on the new GT500 stang... 200mph, 650hp, 600lbs!!! WTF, the real decider will be the price. Anything around $60k would make this rocket a ridiculous deal. |

maybe they will release a mid-$20K silvia/240sx again if FRS takes off. |
i think this car will be a direct competitor for the Z, maybe even edge it out...well see how well it responds to mods...due to the DI it should respond well. weight will be the biggest factor here. I dont see why a 350hp genesis cant edge out a 332hp Z if a 305 hp v6 stang has been doing it
