our cars have wider tires than the almighty lambo aventador???

who woulda ever thought most of our modded cars would have wider tires than the aventador?

stock front aventador tires are puny 225/35/19 on 9.0!!!

rear tires on the other hand...

insideline article...

None of the above would be of much use without suitable rubber. How do these massive Pirelli P Zeros grab you? They certainly grab the asphalt. For the record you're looking at 225/35R19 fronts mounted on 19-by-9 rims. The rears are 335/30R20 (that's another 50% wider, folks) and they live on 20-by-12 rims. Forged alloys all around, of course.

Maybe it has a huge rear-weight bias. I do find that very strange and wonder how it will affect lap times, or if they even care.

I think new Lambo corp probably cares "some", old lambo corp from the 80's, hell no, as long as it looks cool, it's a go.

Look forward to seeing 'ring and other lap-times, then!

The Aventador has the second quickest time around Top Gear's track. I think it will be ok.

It probably doesn't need the big tire up front because its sure a light car. The front end on that thing wouldn't have much weight at all!

old_account 09-27-2011 10:57 AM

well, forget this thread since it was a typo on insideline's part :shakes head:

fronts are 255/35/19!

Technical Specifications < LP 700-4 < Aventador < Models < Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.

daisuke149 09-27-2011 11:00 AM

hrmm. 335/30/20 Too bad its not 335/25/20 or i'd possibly use em.

WWJD 09-27-2011 11:08 AM

997.2 GT3 RS and GT2 come with 245/35/19 and 325/30/19. I guess the new lambo has similar weight ratio for front and rear as the 911's.
