Hey Dan, Steve.... What are your thoughts on the SLP Loud Mouths? I just listened to a few clips... and damn, that sounds good too. However, I'm worried about drone. Thoughts?

Slp has always seemed raspy to me in person.

Red__Zed 10-20-2011 07:23 PM

same. I think I'm gonna go with the gt500s, as lame as that may be.

FromG2Z 10-20-2011 07:29 PM

^ that's what I have Dan :) Will delete resonators too I think... then keep em, so if I have to go stock, can get them rewelded.

Red__Zed 10-20-2011 07:31 PM

I need to go look at my car to figure out what's getting done when they delete resonators. I'm guessing they're cutting the pipe and welding a straight pipe in it's place.

i feel like just getting the stainless piping for that is gonna be pricey

Is the OEM piping in general, stainless? or just galvanized? If I go with delete, for 60 bucks, they'll do the cut/weld, but the straight pipes will just be galvanized I think.

Then again, it won't be visible at all... PLUS, the GT500 mufflers themselves (not tips) are not Stainless anyways.

It shouldn't be.

I go back and forth. Sometimes I like the Saleen/Roush style but other times I like the fogs.

m4a1mustang 10-20-2011 07:38 PM

Dan these are the resonators:

It wouldn't be expensive at all to replace those with stainless piping.

FromG2Z 10-20-2011 07:51 PM

which in that pic?

m4a1mustang 10-20-2011 08:14 PM

The two canisters right after the H pipe crossover and ahead of the rear axle.
