Eh.. not surprised honestly b/c if you search around you will find that the 2011 gt-r beats the LFA by one tenth of a sec in a 1/4. So when they did the 2011 vs 2012 gt-r video it was just a matter of time they would do it to the LFA to show the difference

2 Supercar from Japan
LFA is the looker
GT-R is the performer

As if the only factor behind a super car are the numbers.

I can only imagine the driving thrill and experience in the LFA is much superior to the GTR. As much as I can respect the GTR's amazing performance envelope, every time I have ridden in one it felt undramatic and even a bit boring from the passenger seat. I believe this is a somewhat similar example to the 370z vs. Cayman S comparison: the 370z may hit the same or similar performance numbers but the Cayman is exquisitely refined and tactile while providing those numbers.

the LFA won

motortrend raced the 2011 GTR vs the LFA and the LFA won by 1 tenth

11.8 vs 11.9... but those times seemed slow for both cars... as both of them are capable of 11.6 according to these new tests and i know a 2011 GTR is capable of 11.5

I bet the LFA would win in a mile race.

Are they going to produce any more of them to replace the ones that were destroyed? That would be an extremely long wait though.

That's pretty much the consensus these days, but I don't think the LF-A would be any more tactile. It's just as packed with technological wizard, if not more. If "feel" is the only thing your after, there are plenty of less expensive sports cars that specifically target that criteria. Lotus for example.

When your talking all out performace, especially when comparing supercars, numbers do matter, along with the badge and prestige that goes with it. Would you choose the Cayman S over an LF-A if the LF-A wasn't any faster?

At the end of the day, it's still Nissan vs. Toyota. Both modern legends in thier own way & showing the world it can hang or demolish the established European Exotics.

Makes you wonder just how awesome a 375K Nissan supercar would be.

That was awesome. The LFA is way overpriced and you can't even own it! You have to lease if you want to have it. Don't know if Lexus has changed that requirement yet, but that's how it was initially at least.

Hey man, what's wrong with wanting to own a $400,000 Toyota umm Lexus when I can have 4 obviously superior 2012 GTR's for the price of one $400,000 Toyota umm Lexus. I would buy that $400,000 Toyota umm Lexus just for the awesome sound
