It already happened on other forums. People defended the SSAC intercooler kits. To be fair, I even know people who have them and haven't had problems. By no problems, I mean they mostly don't leak or shed chunks of metal into the intake.

That was a sort of a joke in the vein of this discussion I once heard through the grape vine:

Tech: "I'm sorry sir, but you have a pretty serious crack in the engine block, the third cylinder is basically not doing anything."
Customer: "So how many horses am I loosing?"
T: "...Um...I'm not sure...about 1/8th of them, I'd say?"
C: "But won't the supercharger i want installed fix the loss in horses?"
T: "......"

I don't know if my friend just told this as a good story, but you know someone said this at some point in the universe.
