I would be curious as to how it would stack up against a GT-R on a track.

I don't think that'd be a good comparison at all. The GTR is stupid-fast on track.

So a track ready car isn't as good as a street car?

They racrd the GTR stock against the LFA ($500K) and the GTR lost by a fender or less.

So m4a1mustang is right, they are stupid fast on the track.

Just because it's track ready doesn't mean it's going to compete with a supercar.

Wait, so you are telling me this won't stack up against a Lambo either?! WTF The "F" in Ford must stand for "Fail"!

I feel that the tiny tiny ~$40,000 price difference should have no effect on outcome between two sports cars!

i saw an episode of 'battle of the supercars' (shown on the speed channel).
they raced a ford gt and a lamborghini gallardo.

the ford gt smoked the lamborghini gallardo in 2 events and on the 3rd event, the lamborghini gallardo broke down. talking about failure! :icon17:

One of our (no longer active) members had a Ferrari 360. He bought it new and it broke down on the drive home from the dealership!

Yeah, it'd kind of ruin the whole experience of dropping 160k on a car! Haha.

I seen that episode and i'll admit, it made me proud to be a Mustang convert. Ford really did their homework with this one, it truly is a marvel of cost effective engineering, if I didnt buy my 5.0 less than a year ago and still had my Z, you better believe i'd have already ordered a Boss. I'm completely in love with that car, especially the black and red color scheme version.

repost.

m4a1mustang 02-04-2011 02:56 PM

Yeah I love the wild graphics. It's in-your-face ala the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. I like the silver with the bright red graphics.

american cars are so cool nowadays. a few years ago, it wasn't so.
