Cars go through many transformations over the years, some good, some bad.
Don't forget the many hideous and underpowered variants of the Mustang that have appeared over the years... the name is still a good one. Although this is a hotly debated issue, Celica would be a really appropriate name for this car -- the Celica was Toyota's first true production sports car, and even the most recent variants have had succesful runs racing in Europe and Asia. And of course, there is the much beloved GT-4 (yes, not RWD, but still a proper sporting car, albeit for rally). All the Initial-D fans want this car to be called the Trueno... Eh, I prefer Celica... but we'll have to wait and see. "Spiritual sucessor"
