that was a pretty slow 1/4 mile run but i guess conditions are the same for the LFA at the time so..... who knows

Wow thats cool.. i learned about this in highschool. The car's exhaust had the same resonance as the champagne class.. Man i wish i had this commercial to demonstrate resonance in HS, boy would i have been a physicist!

Guys definately did NOT post this to become a balls battle between the gtr and LFA. I just posted it, b/c it is strictly a very cool video. They spent some money doing that im sure, but its just a cool idea and the sound of this car is everything and more.

Can you honestly compare the LFA to the GT-R at that price point? Shouldn't it go up against real super cars? lol
TBH for that price difference it should **** all over the GT-R. But it doesn't do that much better than anything in that price range.. I'd love to see it go up against a million of the other cars that are cheaper than it. |
yea this^^^ the fact that the GTR can keep up with the car that is (as described on top gear) "an engineer's wet dream" speaks volumes for the R35. imagine how insane an R35 with the kind of money an LFA costs would be... of course then it's "only" an R35. i will give them the fact that might be one of the top 5 best sounding engines ever, especially for a road car

We can buy 4 GTRs with what one LFA cost, Red, White, Silver & Black and still have money left over. The sad thing is that the GTR with a few upgrades will have the LFA for lunch. |
The car is really beautiful, and the sound is just amazing. Aston martins used to be my favorite sounding cars, but now the LFA has become #1.

It's not just about "my car gets from point A to B be quicker so I win" in terms of what renders a particular automobile exciting, admirable, etc. People make old POS Civic hatches ran quicker than 100K+ cars all day long. Still I’m sure the 100K cars (beaten by the Civic hatch) have many other attributes which make them far more desirable own, drive, etc. |
really gets down to what a person wants versus function versus cost. I'm more a function versus price point person so I'd most likely not buy a Loyota. Nice commercial though, thanks for posting.

so LFA, or:
Either a 599 GTB, 458 Italia, two F430's, or my personal favorite...a 458 Italia and a GT-R with still around $80k to take care of TTL and Insurance for a year or so. Bottom line though, if you are considering a lexus with that pricetag, you probably aren't going to have to compromise much as far as what's in your garage, so the price is almost irrelevant. I doubt whomever is buying these can just barely squeak by the payments and buying this doesn't limit what else they are going to get :driving: |

yea and i bet that car is pretty much maxed out, there might be room for forced induction but that would defeat the purpose of the car. especially on such a limited production car, i would be surprised to see hardly any mods for it
